So I don’t check out the so-called booting ceremonies a lot, when a C-drama kicks off filming with prayers and red envelopes for good luck. But is it always so coordinated haha, because the cast and crew of Tang dynasty period drama The Legend of Jewelry were all wearing matching red jackets for the cast and blue jackets for the crew. Despite the fuss kicked up by female lead Zhao Lu Si‘s fandom over the casting of Liu Yu Ning as the male lead, the drama is still going ahead and has started filming. I always forget how tall Liu Yu Ning is in real life until I see him around other people in context haha. I think this reunion from their second lead pairing in The Long Ballad is a great idea and the naysayers bedamned.
Agree, they had good chemistry in The Long Ballad, so a lead pairing is good this time. Also LYN’s styling seems to be ok here. His styling in Legend of Anle was horrible. Too bad, his drama with Song Zuer might be shelved.

I like him but he seems to have aged more recently or was it the styling in Anle? Their age gap is very apparent. He has a certain maturity that suits characters in their mid-30s, while she still passes off as a uni student.
