Zeng Shun Xi and Li Qin Radiate Wintry Charisma in First Stills for Wuxia Romance Drama Seven Nights of Snow

Who knew throwing some guyliner and fur on Zeng Shun Xi (Joseph Zeng) would make him for the first time seem quite an attractive leading man to me haha. The first stills are out for wuxia X-drama Seven Nights of Snow and it’s perfect timing to be released now in the winter. Starring Li Qin and Zeng Shun Xi, these stills are just sooooo pretty with that romantic and stirring winter wonderland vibe. It’s very Fox Volant of Snowy Mountain but without the unfortunate Qing dynasty hair for the men. Bonus points for supporting leads Wang Hong Yi and Zeng Ke Ni also adding to the pretty.

Zeng Shun Xi and Li Qin Radiate Wintry Charisma in First Stills for Wuxia Romance Drama Seven Nights of Snow — 23 Comments

  1. Li Qin’s acting has no depth…no emotion. It’s hard to like her as an actress despite how pretty she is. I don’t see a difference between any of the characters she’s supposed to portray.

Like Li Qin, Bai Lu is also very pretty. I don’t care for Bai Lu’s acting despite wanting to. It didn’t occur to me until recently when someone on here mentioned that Bai Lu’s acting lacks depth and emotion. Both actresses are pretty, popular, and headline some high budget dramas. I don’t care for either actress, but I prefer Bai Lu over Li Qin. It would be nice if some unknown actress who can act be given more opportunities like Li Qin and Bai Lu.

    • I’m tired of seeing the same actors and actresses over and over again… also, it would be great to have some classic beauties back on screen rather than just the girl next door types (Yu Shuxin, Li Qin, Bai Lu, etc). For the guys, it’d be nice to see people who look like they’ve completed puberty as CEOs, generals, etc

      • Here we go again. Look at the photos above and tell me, in which neighborhood do you live so that the girls nect door look like that? Li Qin, Bai Lu or else may not be what you consider classical beauties, whatever that is supposed to mean, but in no way are they ordinary.

      • @nena right? it’s really sad to see how women are held to much higher standards when it comes to beauty. someone here said zhao lusi, bai lu, etc. are average-looking and I was just… 🙄
people have to realize that beauty is a spectrum, it’s not just “goddess-level beautiful” and then “average-looking”, there are many levels in between. just because someone doesn’t look like dilreba or song hye kyo doesn’t mean they’re ordinary-looking, ffs

      • @Nena

Oh no, the stans have discovered this comment. All the people I mentioned are very average looking to me. Bye!

  2. I never really warmed up to Zeng Shun Xi until Mysterious Lotus Casebook, and thought he was a really good actor and does deserve to headline these Wuxia genre since he mainly play these type of roles.

  3. So beautiful

This drama is a loose adaptation of a book with strong fandom and the book got the score of 8.2 on Douban. It’s a very high score and it’s highly praised.

Li Qin have done dramas without romance and she did well in them with her acting. The problem is that people who do not watch dramas without romance do not watch the dramas Li Qin have done. I think she did very well with her acting when the drama requires good acting from her and maybe she does not feel the need to impress in a romance’s drama. I don’t know.
Bai Lu’s acting is very dependant on whoever dares to push and force her to act well otherwise she is madiocre.

    • I agree with you @Jiao @K
I love Joseph Zeng and Li Qin. Look good and can act reasonably well

I agree with koala … posters look good

  4. I like them both well enough to be excited to check this out, though I haven’t completed their previous dramas due to boring plots/other casts, I think they are both good, acting-wise.

  5. Li Qin and charisma?

Li Hongyi can’t act to save his life. Is he still trying licking cakes he doesn’t have a prayer of getting? Funny little nugu.

    • I only know li hongyi from the blood of youth, is he that bad? He has no chemistry with his endgame but I didn’t think he was that bad 🤔
Although the story is pretty much fairystyle wuxia

  6. Joseph Zeng gives me ahole vibes outside of acting. Not sure why he does, but he does. Like he gives off an indifferent yet offensive aura. His acting is okay though, acceptable. Like in MLC, I thought he was overacting in some parts, but he did okay.

LiQin, I haven’t seen anything from her yet that made me feel wowed, but she’s serviceable lol. I don’t consider her a breathtaking beauty but maybe it’s cus I usually see her in some girl-next-door purity noble type of roles.

    • I need someone to convince me about Li Qin. She’s supposedly one of the ones that can act. I liked her enough in Joy of Life, when she plays a more conservative demure role. But she was so annoying in that Ren Jialun one. I would think a good actress can make an over the top character endearing?

I actually quite like Zeng Shunxi, and feel like he has potential. I think I’m bias though because I have a soft spot for people who can speak Cantonese since I speak that myself. I have no idea what he’s like outside of dramas, haven’t seen him in any variety shows.

      • Li Qin lack depth in her acting. She is likely a very nice person and gets on with her co-stars but there are just lacking in chemistry in many of her dramas. Joy of Life is definitely one of her better roles as she has Zhang Rou Yun to led her into her role comfortably.

Li Qin may be one of the older idol actress now. But her experience is not reflected in many of the roles she takes on. She is better when working with artistes she is familar with or very skilled, like Xiao Zhan, Zhang Rou Yun, Chen Xiao.

Zeng Shunxi is interesting though, he has spark and confidence in him. Thus he can shine if in the right role. Many viewers are quite comfortable watching him. So he can stand on his own… but can he give Li Qin the support she needs to create the right chemistry, that interest me.

      • @Soph haha, i thought she was nothing but a vase in Joy of Life. she barely had any presence or real material to work with, aside from being Zhang Ruoyun’s love interest. Xin Zhilei as DuoDuo had far more chemistry with him than Li Qin. i even watched that drama with her and Ren Jialun, but in that role, RJL annoyed me more than her (nothing against him, but he does too many frowny faced roles.)

so i guess it’s true – i haven’t seen any drama of hers where she had outstanding chemistry with her costars.

@somebody i saw the wolf. she’s serviceable in that role, but like i said, her roles are so boring. Darren Wang was amazing in it tho. she’s always playing the white blossom with barely any passion. when i see her, all i think of is boring.

    • Joseph Zeng was actually another major factor besides Cheng Yi to turn me off from MLC. I have no interest in checking any of his dramas since. His overacting is boring. LOL

I think Li Qin had pretty good chemistry with Xiao Zhan in The Youth Memories. She played that demure looking but with forward thinking young lady quite well. She executed her crush on Xiao Zhan’s character pretty well, very impressive and I loved watching her in TYM although she’s not given a lot of screen time. I enjoyed her scenes with Xiao Zhan a lot. I also think she had very strong chemistry with XZ in their prior drama, The Wolf. I actually think her role other than holding a chicken nugget in Joy of Life 1 is forgettable. LOL. One thing I’m not sure about her is her acting range. I have yet to see that from her. I haven’t watched enough dramas of her and therefore can’t give any meaningful opinion.
