A big milestone was hit by upcoming xianxia C-drama The Legend of Shen Li (Yu Feng Xing or Journey with the Phoenix), the drama hit 4 million reservations on Tencent this week. The last time I saw a C-drama break 4 million reservations was with The Longest Promise with Xiao Zhan and Ren Min, and that was a combo of Xiao Zhan’s draw and the drama taking forever to air. Most dramas are happy to break 1 million reservations, 2 million is a hit, and 3 million quite a feat and 4 million is a rarity. Starring Zhao Li Ying as the titular Shen Li, a fallen goddess who finds reluctant new master in Lin Geng Xin as she tries to return to her place, the leads are reuniting from the their 2017 hit Princess Agents which made both of them super popular. There is no word on when Shen Li will air but seeing as the year end is weeks away I’m guessing the next big time slot is lunar new year 2024.

Aw such a combo, one of which I like and the other one I've blacklisted to unwatchable! LGX was a snoozefest in Princess Agents and Shawn Dou definitely stole the ML halo from him. LOL. LGX's anti-Taiwan rhetoric on Chinese SM further turns me off. This is one downer I definitely refuse to watch any of his programs. I'm not losing anything since he can't act either. LOL. Sorry for ZLY! Such a waste!
ZLY likes LGX because he is the best friend of Wang Sicong, richest tycoon of China. Kris Wu used to be his friend too. Wang Sicong likes Yang Mi, it's why ZLY modified her face to look like YM.
