The phenomenon that is smacking shirts (Chinese colloquial slang for wearing the same outfit) has really crossed country and industry lines so much so that it’s a stark reminder that there aren’t that many fashion houses out there. If we take the top ten from France, Italy, and US, chances are there is only so many red carpet, performance, and press event dresses and ensembles that can be worn at any given season, and of course the top stars are only going to show up in that season’s outfits thanks to endorsement deals and generally needing to lead the fashion trend.
