So it’s either real snow in Hendian since it’s winter or man made snow but either way it makes the leads pretty as a picture for sure. Ding Yu Xi and Deng En Xi have been filming the period romance drama Chang Le Qu (长乐曲) which translates to Long Happy Tune and is adapted from a C-novel of a slightly different name. Ding Yu Xi’s looks are so not my thing but he actually looks good here in character and Deng En Xi might be the fastest rising young actress of her age group (called the ’05 flowers) as she is only 18 years old and goodness she’s like a smidge older than a fetus for these kinds of romance pairings. But both are known for being good at acting so that’s a plus haha. Ding Yu Xi was supposed to have two big dramas in 2023 but both Romance of the Twin Flower with Peng Xiao Ran and later Love You Seven Times with Yang Chao Yue flopped so for his sake I hope this one lands solidly.
Whoever did his make up and styling here deserves a raise, he looks so good and different that I didn’t recognise him the first time I saw these pictures and it was real snow in hengdian which apparently it been 5 to 6 years since it snow there . Rumours has it that any time hengdian has real snow, the dramas that are shooting at that time, some of them are going to be explosive when it airs
Unfortunately it may just be a case of thorough photo-editing.
Deng En Xi is a great actress.

@XZF @Jian, must just be photo editing then. @jiao, I like your comment about him being busy filming…as we know if a young artistes suddenly take a break, apart from personal health, family reasons…it is often recovery after surgery… Lol.
Ding Yuxi looks way better when he has bangs in costume dramas (see New Smiling Proud Wanderer 2018, crap drama but he was great and looked great). Also I’ve found he’s one of those actors that don’t stand out/look great in photos but become handsome when you watch him in dramas. Same thing happens to Matt Smith with me.
