So the news for the last 24-hours in South Korean entertainment has been the alleged Ryu Jun Yeol and Han So Hee are dating rumors. A Japanese tourist in Hawaii claims to have seen them by the pool in side-by-side lounge chairs flirting with each other and that it was being talked about at the hotel as top gossip. The post immediately caught fire and media reported on it, afterwards both sides agencies posted statements confirming their own star was in Hawaii but for work/hanging out with friends. No word on whether they hung out together or was indeed flirting at the hotel. Afterwards Ryu Jun Yeol’s ex-girlfriend Hyeri posted a picture of palm trees on her SNS with the comment “Funny” or “Interesting” and then unfollowed Ryu Jun Yeol. After that Han So Hee posted a picture of a dog holding a knife on her SNS saying “I also find it funny” and then commentary how she’s not into dating taken men or being friends in the pretext of flirting, etc. Another netizen claimed that Hyeri and Ryu Jun Yeol’s breakup was announced in mid-November 2023 and then days later Han So Hee was spotted at Ryu Jun Yeol’s photo exhibit. K-netizens are so invested in this drama lol.

HSH has already back tracked and said that she is indeed dating RJH (but after he and Hyeri already broke up), so Hyeri is not “insane”. They were together for 6 years, it might take her more than a few months to get over such a long relationship. We don’t know how or for what reason they broke up. Maybe he wasn’t forthcoming about certain things. Relationships are messy and quite honestly their relationship is none of our business. Labeling anyone “crazy” when none of us know the full circumstances is a bit unnecessary.
It’s not 6 but 8 years. I find that guy who string you along for 8 years is not worth it. Hope Hyeri can find someone better than him

Let’s not infantilize an adult woman who is capable to end a relationship before the 4th year mark and by staying in relationship for 8 years it means she was very much glued to the guy and she did not find anyone better than him during these 8 years. She wasted her 8 years away on her own choice. The same can be said for RJH who is an adult man who could have ended the relationship before the 4th year mark.

I didn’t realize he was that much older than her since I’ve only watched them together in Reply 1988, where they portrayed characters of the same age. I hope she can find someone better as well. When it’s such a long relationship, I’m sure it’s not that easy to move on.
@Jiao, just because some people are calling HSH or RYJ worse things makes it ok to call someone else less derogatory terms. I don’t believe any of them should be called any derogatory terms. Actually HSH just released a blog post confirming sheās dating RJY and an apology to Hyeri (but frankly, Hyeri was the person who started this lmao). Sheās too honest in her blog and just too cool of a person. Her post was super refreshing and unexpected. She mentioned Hyeri and RJY actually broke up months before the official info was released.
