Well I’m certainly happy with this casting lol. A new C-drama will start filming next month in April and the leads are Jing Tian and Alen Fang (Fang Yi Lun) adapted from the novel The Brocaded Tale of The Girl Si (δΌΌι¦ Si Jin). Jing Tian drops chemistry with every one of her male leads and I’m so thankful Alen’s level up to male lead of a bigger budget drama has her as his female lead. The story is a female lead rebirth with redemption and revenge thrown in and hopefully with strong leads the script will be more interesting than the blurb.
Love them both! She really has sizzling chemistry with every male lead. Wonder what the plot is about?
There is a webtoon and I believe a novel as well which it is based on. Same name I believe for those curious.
It’s a female centric tale but still I am very happy for him and they are a good match in acting skills (and visually!). She also has great chemistry with her costars so it should work on all levels.
I see Alen and I automatically think “I’m fine! The snake is fine too!” ππ
I really liked his subtle acting in TLB and then he did something totally fun and OTT in AJTL. Made me appreciate him as an actor. Good looking and can act. I am happy for him too.

I definitely will check this out. Both are visually nice and can act. Bad script and directing remain the only possible downers and it’s not impossible given that Cdrama is very lacking in this aspect.
Yaay! So happy that Alen Fang is upgrading into a better production as a lead actor. I’ve always thought this guy is talented and very handsome but why is he always stuck in supporting roles. It just didn’t make sense to me. I really hope this new drama will be successful & bring him better scripts & more leading roles because he deserves it.
Finally high budget drama for Alen fang, he deserves it so much, man is so talented, I hope he will get big next year
