Xianxia Drama Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact Tentatively Scheduled for May 26th Premiere on iQiyi

So with Joy of Life 2 premiering mid-May on the 16th, other dramas are steering clear of it but not Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact (also known as the Yue Hong chapter), or at least just not entirely. That drama earlier this year was already rumored for a May release and it’s sticking to it. The xianxia drama is tentatively scheduled for a May 26th premiere and leads Yang Mi and Gong Jun are already booked for the press conference and other sundry promotions from industry scheduling. This means JOL2 will still be airing but towards the end when Red Moon Pact premieres so it’s enough time to give a berth but may fall victim to the buzz and attention on JOL2 if that drama sequel turns out to be as good or even better than the first season. I’m expecting new promos for Red Moon Pact and will share as it’s released.

Xianxia Drama Fox Spirit Matchmaker: Red Moon Pact Tentatively Scheduled for May 26th Premiere on iQiyi — 20 Comments

    • This month is gonna be boring because every mid budget drama is going to avoid Joy of Life 2, and then Fox Spirit Matchmaker. So expect nothing until mid or late June. It honestly sucks because premieres of these dramas during non-summer period leads to so many premiere delays.

  1. Who knows, this could be a decent adaptation and will be a good watch along with Joy of Life 2. Wonder what Youku will choose to air during this time, The Double?

  2. I never judge a drama before I actually watch it and form my own opinion. Yang Mi has never disappointed me in a costume drama and who knows, Gong Jun might have actaully done a decent job in this one.

  3. Yang Mi,Yang Zi, Liu Yuning, Wang Yibo are the top 4 actors to get bashed in here (followed by Gong Jun, XiaoZhan, Luo Yunxi). Whenever there’s an article about them, there are rants. I wonder if it’s always the same person(s) because sometimes it feels too much and I doubt there are many loonies like that.
When it comes to K-actors, the loonies are mostly out for Han So Hee, Kim So Hyun, Kim Yoo Jung. I mean, with the exception of Xiao Zhan, noone is a facourite of mine, but I still find the vehement reactions of the haters bizarre. And concerning, honestly.

    • I’ve honestly wondered what could possess someone to actively hate and persistently write mean things about a stranger they don’t even know. I don’t think it’s healthy, but nothing I can do about it. I just try not to feed the troll and ignore those posts.

    • Aww our resident Wang Yibo washer.

He does blackface and is racist repeatedly.

You – stop bashing on him!! Toilets are so predictable.

    • Add Cheng Yi. Some can’t help but bring up his name in articles unrelated to him or barge onto his news articles to bring him down or mock/taunt his fandom.
And sorry to say but Xiao Zhan is far from being bullied on this site. Rather the opposite if you ask me (most sing his praises)

  4. Out of the three trailers I’ve seen this one looks the most boring lmao. But very curious, are these dramas’ lore part of the same universe?

    • Same universe, but part 2 should be prequel to both parts as it’s the one linking bloodline with part 1 and 3.

  5. Whether it’s interesting or not, learn to appreciate these actors. If you don’t like the drama, just drop it.
