Kim Hye Yoon Looks Adorable and Quirky in May GQ Pictorial After April Elle Magazine Couple’s Shoot with Byun Woo Seok for Lovely Runner — 26 Comments

  1. Haha the fans power, when it’s used for good. She’s so stunning , love that her dimples are showing aswell.

  2. She is so pretty, natural, fresh, talented , charismatic and she has chemistry with all her co stars . She can’t be compared to any actress of her generation which is good ! Not fan wars !!!

  3. Off of topic ,but yesterday Meryl Streep received La palme d’or d’honneur from the hands of Juliette Binoche at Cannes . The speech of Juliette Binoche was so emotional , that’s how great Meryl Streep is and a role model for many actresses. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

    • @cahill!!! Just 💕 you!!! I am so glad you mentioned Cannes, I was thinking how I can post a comment on it. Meryl Streep is a amazing woman, love her….

I am hoping @Koala will post photos of the Chinese celebs that attended Cannes!!

      • This year Cannes is a special because of the # Me too movment of actresses Godrèche, Binoche,… who talked about their debut as actresses and to be back then under the domination of great directors .Sophie Marceau was the first 35 years ago to come forward about Gérard Depardieu’s behaviour when she did a movie with him in the 80’s but people in the industry called her an arrogant rookie who should know her place ! Meryl Streep , i just love her since i was very young and watched her interpretation in a mini drama “Holocaust ” . She is great she can play anything .

      • Once someone said that caucasians aged more quickly then asians ones . It’s true but Juliette Binoche 60 years old, Sophie Marceau 56 years, Meryl Streep 75 years ,…they have wrinkles,… but they still beautiful and chararismatic when Korean actresses are already too botoxed when they reach 30 years which impact their face’s micro expressions and their interpretation !

    • Streep is my all time favorite actress around the world. She’s legendary. I guess her education received from Yale gave her extra depth in theatrical performance that can ben seen more often among British actors but a lot of American actors lack. I grew up watching her films with my dad who might be a huge fan of her too. Her expression in Sophie’s Choice when she was forced to make a choice between her son and her daughter for Nazi to take away from her on the train is still vivid in my memory. Her pains in that horrifying scene had a great mark on my psychology. Yet to see someone like her in the younger generation.

  4. Aww I’m glad she’s getting the attention now. I don’t think it’s because of the hullabaloo the fans stormed up and that this was planned ahead of time but either way I don’t care. Happy she’s getting her own time to shine.

  5. She doesn’t have stunning beauty but her face is very recognizable and unique among K actresses that are full of suspicious PS. She had very strong onscreen presence in Lovely Runner from the get go. She has impressed me way more than the buzzed ML in the first few eps. I even got an impression that she carried the drama alone. That might be my bias since I just watched a few eps and switched to Beyond Evil and Hot Stove League. I plan to finish LR later on to see what the hype around the new heartthrob ML is all about. LOL.

  6. I’ve noticed this chameleon type attribute that Kim Hye Yoon has. She often looks very different in varying angles or costumes. It’s a great quality that ensures the longevity of her career. It means her audience will never tire of seeing her.

  7. She’s beautiful and has a very youthful charm to her which of course plays very well with her drama right now. I love her from her Sky Castle days and happy that she is getting the attention she deserves.
Let’s be honest she’s the better actor in Lovely Runner. So it’s grossly unfair that she did not get the hype her costar did. I know thats uncontrollable but she’s fortunate to have passionate fans. Hope she gets better scripts in bigger dramas from here on.

  8. I find her acting at times annoying whenever she tries to talk cute. But overall, she has great potential to be an actress known for her acting. That is she where her strength lies. They say that Korean beauty have all look the same w/ the recent popular actress/singer. Her looks diversity it.

  9. I think her visual doesn’t fit everyone’s taste. I personally find her really cute and charming. I’d take her as a lead any day over someone like Hong Suzu, who really ruined Impossible Heir for me.

    • LOL. Here someone brought me bad memory about Impossible Heir. I was equally pissed by HSZ in IH. I’ve never watched such bad acting in Kdrama. Even Lee Jae Wook’s charm couldn’t save it at all.

      • I am sorry! I just thought of that one because KHY and LJW were also costars at one point, and HSZ probably fits more Korean preference of beauty. What frustrates me most is in an interview she said how hard to worked to portray that character. If she worked her hardest and delivered that, I think she should consider staying a model!

      • Oh she’s even not an actress? No wonder! Any C actresses I’ve ever complained about are even better than her. That’s how bad she is. LOL.

      • @Somebody, yeah I had to look her up because I’ve never seen such bad acting before. She had like two small guest roles and then somehow landed as lead in Impossible Heir. Must have strong resources.

    • @Soph, Yes, it did for me too… She is pretty but she needs to attend more acting classes…maybe she will improve. Too early to be given lead roles.

      • She had two small guest roles before this. I think some people would do well with a lot of supporting roles before jumping into a lead role. Plus, this character was not supposed to be easy to play. She should’ve never been casted.

  10. Happy to see more editorials with KHY. She is very pretty in a natural way and, more importantly, is an excellent actress. She can truly inhabit and embody character. I think she can have a similar type career to Park Eun Bin playing a variety of unique and varied roles if her agency manages her career right. I read her next drama is going to be female-focused which I’m looking forward to.
