There may be a quick reunion between Wang Xing Yue and Lu Yu Xiao after working on just filmed drama together Perfect Match they may do another next. The drama is adapted from the C-novel Liang Chen Mei Jing (良陈美锦) which is a homonym for 良辰美景 which means fine time, beautiful scenery but here the Chen is a last name and the Jing is a first name. The second male lead in talks is Huang Jun Jie who is also gaining some recognition after being a support in a few dramas in a row. I love this cast and it’s starting to look like the current rising layer of drama actors and actresses are really starting to level up.

Lu Yu Xiao is really good. She is so talented and is quite a chameleon in roles.
There is a freshness and naturalness in her I don’t see so much in new C-actresses – like I noticed even her Weibo pictures are barely edited compared to the OTT filters and whitening most C-actors use on their pics. Her agency are understandably making the most of her career momentum and have signed her to a lot of projects and she is working non-stop but I hope she doesn’t burn out because she has so much potential.
She really does! I’m actually hopeful that Huang Jun Jie will also be added to this, despite obvious eye-candy, he was a pretty good actor in his beginning roles before the huge scandal with his ex-girlfriend.
AND THE ML? I don’t know him well but from what I’ve seen of him he’s quite good, not to mention handsome. I’m rooting for this drama.
I have heard good things about the ML from The Double and he is definitely eye candy!
What was the scandal from Huang Jun jie? I hope casting him doesn’t negatively impact the drama :-\

Happy for Wang Xing Yue, I hope the projects coming his way get better and better. I really hope Shadow Detective airs before Perfect Match to keep his momentum going. It’s been on my watchlist for some time now and I hope it gets an air date this year since it wrapped filming over a year ago. The photoshoot he did with Wu Jia Yi gave serious In The Mood for Love vibes. A Republican era drama with those two, especially with how great all her looks were in Arsenal Military Academy and how good he looked suited up in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, has me seriously anticipating this.
I have never seen Huang Jun Jie or Lu Yu Xiao acting. But I just hope Wang Xing Yue doesn’t get thinner. He has strong/sharp features, if he loses weight, his facial harmony would be lost because his cheeks would be extremely hollow. I’ve grown tired of seeing my favorites lose weight drastically to try to look like pretty boys when they were certainly on the masculine-looking side…
I will still keep him on my watch list because of his work in The Double.

Even if it’s not an S production, I’ll watch it if it has a good plot and well-written characters. The Double is restoring my faith in C-dramas. Besides The Double, I remember seeing WXY in Delicacies Destiny but I didn’t like how one-dimensional his character was. I am not familiar with the other two actors.
Off topic, I would like to see WXY acting with Liu Hao Cun, Shen Yu Jie or Zhang Jing Yi.
i didn’t expect that in amidst a snowstorm of love wang xing yue would only be the cousin of the female lead. with that appearance and presence i thought he was going to be the third in the discord. i googled the actresses you mentioned and i don’t know them but they are pretty, i like miss hao cun’s eyes.
WXY acting was good in Delicacies destiny. I liked the serious and goofy sides of his character. And there again good voice acting
Liu Yu Ning was better actor than Wang Xing Yue in Journey To Love… But certainly the women here are drooling over Wang Xing Yue’s looks. They think with their crotches.
I like LYN as a singer and I even have the will to check his works but he is not on the same level as WXY in the TD, neither in skills nor in beauty. Do not let fanaticism blind you.

I just want the stylists to stop trying to make him look pale and effeminate, he looks particularly weird (?) on variety shows for these reasons. Having said that, I’m back on topic to comment that I’ll be keeping an eye on this drama. He didn’t catch my attention before as an actor but his presence in The Double is fuego.
i just finished watching the behind the scenes for his nefumode photoshoot and his face looks great without the heavy and pale foundation.
I personally believe the actor he looks like the most is Gregory Peck. Wang Xing Yue facial features reminds me of Gregory Peck in Spellbound with Ingrid Bergmann. Plus both got nice masculine and imposing voices.
