The recent news is that she’s had to pay over $300,000 USD in unpaid back taxes but it’s been determined to be missed taxes rather than intentional tax evasion. The latter would be a complete blacklisting from the industry but the former potentially allows her to return. But she will need her backers full support including a lot of money spent whitewashing her image with the public so it’s unclear if there is appetite for that or the industry has moved on to new actresses. Regardless her finished dramas have no chance of airing any time soon with this news, the only way it would air is if there was no unpaid taxes whatsoever. There is also rumors that both The Prisoner of Beauty and The Demon Hunter’s Romance are going to re-shoot with a new actress and AI face swap her, with The Prisoner of Beauty in particular rumored to have already found actress Huang Ri Ying for the face swap.
What about the accusations regarding ying yang contracts and shell companies under her name? Were they cleared too?

Now, this is what I read earlier…thus when the post was up yesterday of her likely never coming back really puzzled me. having said that, these days, we may know what is really happening till we see it.
As her tax issues are her problems to deal with and with anything involved the CCP(Gov), dont expect to know any truth as CCP will only release their actions but not the details/background.
I sincerely dont hope she will be cancelled. This girl has been acting since a kid..gave her life to the industry. I bet her finance have always been taken care of by the parents. I will not say she intentionally want to cheat the public or Gov but she may really not know much or was misled.
However, she is still partly responsible as it is her tax and her earnings. I hope all will be deal with fairly and she will not be cancelled.

This is very old news. There’s no way actress Huang Riying will do the face swap now when she had gotten seven stitches to her face after getting injured on the set of Cheng Yi’s currently filming drama Fu Shan Hai.

Not sure about that. They’ve replaced her with another actress, and maybe gave her some compensation coz she sounded like she has no hard feelings for the production team in her official statement. But then, she’s a small actress without strong backings.
These news were on and off with Crystal Yuan too and eventually it all came to nothing. I feel if they even let one actor pass through they might worry their control may loosen and tax evasion will then be taken lightly. There has to be some link with the cancellation and evasion except for just bad publicity. If someone pays their overdue taxes they have kind of rectified their mistake. This is one mistake that can be rectified so still canceling may have to do with how the producers see the problem. Image/ netizen attacks may be a temporary issue for the first actor to be allowed in but if one is, others will be too. Maybe that’s where the problem stems from.
This face swap thing is so weird, but at least they are acknowledging that 300k isn’t tax evasion but rather underpayment.

She is a really good actress and very likeable. I do hope that she can can comeback stronger than ever. These “C-Ent Insiders” are bringing so much negativity. It’s like just because they said it is so it must be true. Why not let her dramas air and see if people still like her. She is so talented and much better than some of the leading ladies around right now. It’s not like she abandoned her surrogacy babies to deserve cancellation. She deserves another chance without all these people making it harder for her and I am rooting for her. Fighting!!!
Agree! She has so much more to offer than most of the current batch of actresses in her age group. I do really hope she can make a comeback. She’s talented, beautiful and seemed pretty popular amongst the industry. It does feel like a deliberate smear campaign with the cheating allegations coming out now and not earlier. It’s almost like blackmail meant to cause her for years…
I made a trip back from the local vineyards and wineries and Koala is still posting the news about her tax issues? LOL. This is getting boring.
You are not drunk yet?? I love visiting vineyards…I go yearly to France, Italy and local UK. Of course they have serve good food too.
I don’t really drink, just sipping a few drops at some dinner parties when relatives/friends raved about and offered their new found love. LOL. My dentists gave me two bottles of cabernet sauvignon cos we spent tons $$$$ in her clinic. LOL. That triggered me to make a family trip to the local wineries. We used to live just 40 minutes drive to Napa Valley. It was our getaway off work when we lived there. The local wineries here are far from being on par with Napa Valley but they have good food like you know.😁 LOL. And also the scenery nearby the quaint towns where We really enjoyed walking around. These towns also have very fine eateries that were impressive but expensive. LOL. We will go back to explore more vineyards when fall foliage arrives. The foliage in the area is famous.
We were going to Europe this summer. But my close relatives got all very sick with COVID after their trips back from Swiss and Germany. There also has been a surge of COVID variant in the US this summer. So we cancelled it. Will see next year.
