An upcoming xianxia C-drama finished filming recently so let’s take a look at Love in the Clouds, starring Hou Ming Hao and Lu Yu Xiao. It’s yet early in the post-production but I do expect this drama sometime in late 2025 to be released. Hou Ming Hao continues to do one drama after another, all looking promising but none being the one hit he needs to level up. I find him a good actor but NGL his face has been bothering me in recent dramas, like pulled taut in the top half and if it’s due to botox he needs to lay off because OG version was way more handsome. This is Lu Yu Xiao’s big female lead casting after her second female lead breakout in My Journey to You and she brings both charisma and acting but not a strong fan base to bring in viewers on buzz alone. But if the drama is well made and has a compelling story like Love Game in Eastern Fantasy anything can happen to become a hit.
