First Stills for jTBC Romance Drama My Youth with Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee
I legit forgot about this upcoming K-drama until I saw the first stills today, and it’s probably because the female lead isn’t someone who excites me to watch onscreen despite loving the male lead. With that said, it’s still on my anticipated drama list when My Youth premieres later this year on jTBC. Starring Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee, the drama is about a former successful child star who leaves the industry and lives a quiet adult life as a novelist and he reconnects with his first love years later. Directing is the PD from Yumi’s Cells and Knowing Wife and the screenwriter also wrote Run On, and the drama is slated for a 12-episode run.
Have Kdrama eps been getting shorter? I’ve been seeing 12 eps.
Ever since things have turned to streaming they have shortened dramas to this length. But some still stick to 16 episodes but it has started to even get shorter than 12 I believe at times but yes 12 episodes has become the new trend lately.
Oh wow! Okay, not bad. I feel like Kdramas usually have a hard time wrapping up the ending so 12 seems to be perfect for the writers to conclude their stories.
Why do korean actor (moatly asian actors) always have such hairstyle? Is it to make them look younger? They look much better with their forehead showing.
Korean entertainment industry is obsessed with bang that I Will never understand.
Yeah everyone has a fringe or side parting nowadays. They seem to stick with a trend very closely. I thought it was to look younger but the young stars appear to have that hairstyle too!
Love Song Joong ki and love Chun Woo Hee… hope it will be good. There is another drama I looking forward to, Like starring Lee sung Kyung and Lee Dong Wok.. my 2025 kdrama is packed this year
The still look so bland and orange, but I always feel like Chun Woo-hee picks interesting roles and scripts, so crossing my fingers for this.
I thought this was gonna be a slice of life melodrama but the preview released by jtbc leaned more towards romcom. They look cute together though.
