So the mega flop of the Fox Spirit Matchmaker first chapter the Red Moon Pact delayed and rejiggered the release of the second chapter. Originally Love in Pavilion was supposed to air a few months after Red Moon towards the end of 2024 but the production paused that plan and also retooled the promos to remove all association with the Fox Spirit Matchmaker name. Now Love in Pavilion has its own Chinese title of 淮水竹亭 Wei Shui Zhu Ting with leads Liu Shi Shi and Zhang Yun Long and will likely air next week on April 13th, and joining the leads in supporting and guest starring roles are other well known stars Wu Xuan Yi, Zhao Xiao Wen, Shen Yue, Ding Yu Xi, Zhang Ruo Nan, Meng Zi Yi, Zhou Jie Qiong, and Chen You Wei. The promos should be fully ramping up soon.

If they mainly focus on the lead characters' development then I think it's fine. Unlike FSMM Red Moon where they were too busy focusing on the subplots involving supporting characters (guest stars)
That's the issue I knew was going to happen even before it aired, but the leads relationship also had issues too since FL basically watched ML grow up.
Most of the support seems to have recent hits so that’s a big plus. I like LSS so I hope this drama does well.
Here we go. Hopefully the stalling and editing worked in their favor but either way there will probably be multiple coupling and considering this is based on a comic that seems to be about matchmaking with a touch of dramatics, hopefully they are able to balance it out on the small screen. Though I am more interested in the third installment but hoping this project works out than the last one.
Novel sounds cliché. I always check LSS' dramas. But her prior one with Shawn Dou was a dud. I don't hold high hopes for this one either. Finding an interesting C drama that can prevent me from pressing FF button is like scooping a needle from the ocean. LOL. The majority of C scripts have no soul.
