Zhao Lu Si’s Attendance at Fila Fusion Event Cancelled Last Minute with Her Side Pointing Fingers at the Interference of Her Agency
Watching Zhao Lu Si publicly battle to leave her agency and break the contract may be entertaining for passerbys and her fans are all rooting for her, but from a legal point of view it is mostly just smoke and mirrors. Ultimately the contract termination will be negotiated to terms that both sides will accept on the sliding scale of compromise. Until then she is still contractually under the agency therefore third parties won’t just ignore it like she wants them to. Case in point, this week she was scheduled to attend a Fila Fusion event in Beijing but on the morning of the brand released a statement that it was cancelled due to Zhao Lu Si’s schedule. But she reportedly arrived in Beijing already but could not find any brand person to contact about attending and then got this statement, so her side is saying she did not cancel but the event was cancelled on her. Her fans all say it’s her agency putting the kibosh on her attending by exerting pressure on Fila Fusion. She was supposed to launch a new collab colorway of misty purple with the brand as well. This is unfortunate but expected when a star has a contract dispute ongoing.
Reality will hit her soon…just going online to express her displeased with her agency is not good enough to get her contract cancelled. She needs to use the law to do so. But her evidence needs to be strong…since she only recently extended her contract with them. I dont know why she chose to extend her contract when she was not happy there for years…
But she had loyal fans who are giving her support. They will be her rice bowl for now. I do hope all these can get sorted out quickly as age waits for no one…
I guarantee you she has legal counsel who are guiding her through this. She understands the reality but still is pursuing what she thinks is necessary.
Honestly, her ambition feels so big but not exactly strategic. She’s still stuck in that old agency contract. Like, girl, you signed it; you should’ve read the fine print.
At this point, she should just keep doing what she’s been doing, which is winning public favor. To be fair, she’s doing well so far, especially with all her efforts promoting people who are struggling to make a living without getting any pay.
She just needs to hang tight a few more years until she’s free. It’s not like she’s blacklisted by the government or anything. Her real problem is just that messy contract situation, not a personal scandal.
Haven’t you heard about xiaohongsu getting warned and fined by Government because they keep pushing her contents? She is banned and she can’t go livestream since early September.
She’s not really winning public opinion. Her charity show got pulled after a few episodes and her biggest platform, Xiaohongshu, just got penalized by the chinese govt for pushing her content (amongst other things).
