Lee Chae Min’s Real Life Actress Girlfriend Ryu Da In Target of K-netizen Online Abuse After His Breakout with Bon Appétit, Your Majesty
Jesus, is this 2025 or 2005 again? Or perhaps some things never change. K-actor Lee Chae Min got the biggest break of his acting career when he landed the male lead role in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty after the original male lead was removed after a scandal. It wasn’t the role itself that guaranteed his success it was his acting of it, so kudos to his hard earned rise to fame and wishing him all the best navigating this dizzying rise. Unfortunately with it comes the lunatics and this week his real life actress girlfriend Ryu Da In found her social media pages flooded with negative and attacking comments. The two met on the set of Crash Course in Romance and confirmed their relationship shortly thereafter and recently even celebrated each turning 25 years old in the same month. It was the birthday cake picture that made netizens furious, attacking her for being so openly romance with Lee Chae Min and flaunting her relationship when viewers were still shipping him with Yoona in the drama. So they attacked her for ruining their drama ship dreams lol despite the actor in said drama being her boyfriend for two years already. I just can’t with these people. Protect these two sweet kiddos at all costs and let them date in freedom and happiness away from toxicity.

Don’t know what action, exactly, but some should be taken. This is an ideal case to make a stand. Persistent netizen/shipper abusers should be reported and dealt with as severely as legal means allows. Actors should join together, make statements that they will no longer stand for it. Or some such.
Agree
It’s the production companies and the actors themselves that feed these lunatic by engaging in ridiculous couple posing shots.
If actors have to resort to offscreen make-believe to make their onscreen couple believable, then they are mediocre actors to begin with.
Maybe all dramas should come with a disclaimer in the closing credit, to inform viewers that the people who were killed aren’t really dead, the hero who fell off a cliff, didn’t really fall and that all the couples aren’t couples in real life 😂
💆🏻♂️💀
These people are insane.
At this point the law should step in because nothing else will stop them. Of course, that isn’t going to happen.
So annoying and awful… Fans really need to learn what personal space and life means.
2005 or 2025 …2025 when it comes to technology but 1900 when it’s about mentality . A schyzophrenic world.
Lee Chae-min and Ryu Da-in were already publicly in a relationship before the drama and – I suspect- before half these fans even knew his name.
I hope there are more netizens that genuinely support Lee Chae-min than these trolls. At least, everyone can now discern between the good fans and the crazy ones. Lee Chae-min got to show his range in this drama and he has a lot of promise. I hope that means that if he so chooses to avoid rom-coms that attract creepy shippers, he can.
Agree, but having a partner should not influence being a rom-com lead. Drama and real life are separate.
Being in a public relationship may end up helping him by filtering out all the crazies and stalker type crowd. Sadly, the girl will continue to get hate comments. I hope she sues the crazies.
So dumb and annoying. Everyone should date a lot in their 20s. Are celebrities not humans?
Chaemin is so much cooler than that BTS guy who kept quiet while his fans abused his gf like crazy.
Lol, the bts guy, and the one his fans targeted is always the woman. Most of his fans are women. Sigh. They think that oppa will date them, lol. His gf is so pretty and famous.
Fans need to touch some grass.
Which bts guy? I am out of the loop.
Lol I was with you until you mentioned “the BTS guy”. We don’t know their relationship dynamic. Maybe the woman was okay with keeping the relationship secret because she didn’t want to be harassed by the toxic part of the BTS fandom. Anyway, they dated years ago. As a BTS fan, I absolutely have no problem with any of the BTS members dating, they’re grown men and have every right to do that. I just don’t like how the ex-gf randomly posted what looks like a private video without his consent. We literally don’t know what happened behind closed doors because we don’t know these people personally. Like I said, maybe they agreed to keep the relationship secret at first. And then after the breakup, she probably decided she wants some clout or something, so she released the video. Not saying that that’s a fact, btw. My point is it could be for any reason.
And it’s NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. Why tf do you people who are not even fans so entitled to a dating admission from him? He and every celebrities don’t owe us that, stop being an entitled twat lol. If they want to keep their dating history private, LET THEM
That BTS guy???lol….Where you in the room with them… when both agreed on what type of relationship they were gonna have?? Seeing that it wasnt a publicly known relationship from start, that simple ment she had no issues then but after a while unilaterally wanted to go public seemingly even after they broke up. If its the case where he did nothing wrong to her like cheating, lying or DV…then she was wrong to reveal a private relationship as it seems he didnt want to. Why as a grown woman she even sit and argued with fans in the first place knowing how crazy they can be?? She caused an issue and wanted Jimin to bail her out?? That’s exactly what she wanted as she wanted their relationship to be known publicly..but instead things didnt go as planned.
“Why as a grown woman she even sit and argued with fans knowing how crazy they can be?” – wow, what a smooth way to put responsibility for bullying from bulliers to their victim. Bulliers often saying “we were provoked, it’s their fault”, while in fact no one provoking crazy fans, they choose to act such way themselves, their actions towards anyone is only their responsibility. And I’m sure some of those bulliers grown women too.
Even if we ignore that woman and Jimin and pretend bts fans had valid reason to bully her (they didn’t), Jennie, the person who has dating rumors with another member V, did NOTHING at all for bts crazy fans to attack her. Bts fanbase bullying her with one of the most disgusting insults I ever saw, nothing excusing that.
No showbiz gossips in any country can compare to Yu Menglong’s infamous death under CCP higher up.
One good thing, there’s a lot of good positive comments under that instagram post as well, as many people, international and korean, luckily found out about bullying and came to cheer her up. I’m optimist about it, I think majority of people don’t care about celebrities relationship, they just watching dramas.
With Lee Chae Min being one of the first break out actors with open relationship and Ry Da In being rookie actress as well, I hope their career will go smooth and it will be a good example for k-industry and k-fanbase as a whole.
