SBS Fri-Sat Comedic K-drama My Royal Nemesis with Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Joon Garners Strong Praise Upon Premiere with Rising Ratings
There might be a surprise K-drama hit forthcoming and so far it’s deserving of the immediate buzz right out of the gate. SBS Fri-Sat drama My Royal Nemesis with Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Joon premiered this weekend and has gone from 4.1% ratings to 5.4%. It’s not a huge jump nor impressive on the numbers, but it’s getting A LOT of online chatter and buzz which is a sign that people are not only watching but talking about it. I checked it out despite having no interest prior to the release and found it so entertaining, the leads are killing their respective roles especially Lim Ji Yeon just hitting grand slam homeruns from the first scene on, and they have chemistry with each other. The time-travel aspect for her sentenced to death Concubine character surviving and then thriving in the modern world is super satisfying to watch with a heroine that is easy to root for.
This was a highly anticipated drama for me as I really like both leads. They did not disappoint as the first two episodes drew quite a few guffaws out of me. Chemistry is so good!
U cant use tv ratings anymore to justify it. New gen watch virtually. Han so her mightnot have biggest tv ratings but she gets paid top dollar because she is famous internationally and it brings dollars to production. So this drama can get big over the internet and internationally.
The reason u all hate jisoo but she gets paid top dollar bcoz netflix disney amazon pick her projects. It is simple as that. Squid game has changed the way hallyu is consumed now.

Just started this series and it’s hilariously fun so far. Some annoying C-netz are bitching about the ML’s visuals and belittling Korean actors in general. C’mon, he looks fine! What about Liu Yuning and Leo Luo? Never mind their looks, they can’t even act. lol
