There is a change upcoming on C-actress Tian Xi Wei and her drama filming schedule. Production was slated to start in early fall for The Days of Seclusion of Love with her and Liu Yu Ning and now the drama is reportedly on pause due to investor pullout once the budget went up to S level. Her fans are happy because they didn’t like Liu Yu Ning as her male lead and now her agency is trying to land her the female lead role in the high profile adaptation of Gu Man novel Blazing Sunlight. The male lead is confirmed as Li Xian and Tian Xi Wei is battling it out with Meng Zi Yi for the female lead role. Let’s wait and see what the final casting is in the next few weeks.
I’m sure they’ll pick her instead of Meng Yi Zi because of her star power. Though I like Meng more. Too bad she’s not able to breakout after being blacklisted.

I’m pretty sure MZY is not blacklisted. She is filming a drama right now and she got a bunch of rumours of more works as actress coming up all the time. Besides it all, she is part of of the main cast of some very popular tv variety shows.
Hum, she’s not blacklisted…she has at least 2 upcoming dramas as the FL. ‘Blossom’ with Li Yunrui and ‘Peach Blossom Overturning the Country’ with Liu Xueyi.
She’s not blacklisted now but in the past. I only heard this from others so take it with a grain of salt. But given her many controversies, it’s not a wonder why she has been in the industry for long time but only get a few lead roles. She was accused of acting like a diva on variety show and there was in untamed drama.

I guess but visually meng zi yi seems more suited with the main lead the other seems like a little sister next to him but guess we will see.
Why/when was she blacklisted? She has a ton of upcoming dramas on MyDramaList. I remember her from Ever Night and I thought she was very pretty and good in her role.

@HL, MMQ may be a “talented” singer and idol, but her acting was so bad that she ruined XZ’s movie, Jade Dynasty.
@Somebody, I never watched her acting…I really do not like her. However, I did not exepect her career to tank after she was exposed to be third party in a relationship and also not being respectful to a Older TW singer 周传雄 in a variety show.

Meng Meiqi may have not appreciate 周传雄 much but Meng Yi Zi loves his singing…it was Meng Yi Zi and Zhou Shen that help made him more popular for younger China listeners…it was a conversation Zhou Shen and Meng Yi Zi has in Running Man. I love the clip so much I keep watching it on odd days. Meng Yi Zi is such a darling there.
She is not blacklisted;more like she become the most hated actress after “Untamed” and fans were accusing her of manipulating the drama to get more screen time, this is what happens when an actress plays a role in BL drama LOL. BL dramas fans are so scary they literally eat alive,she even said she got life-threatening messages

@Merry agreed,some fans are scary enough already, but some BL dramas are in serious need of psychiatric help. BL shippers are way more aggressive and persistent than others and the bizarre thing is that they are usually heterosexual women who somehow get a kick out of watching men lusting after each other.
I don’t object to BL dramas if they are well done – the same as any romance drama because love, after all, is the same. But this level of obsession I see in BL fans is alarming.

BJYX is Wang Yibo’s officially acknowledged fandom, by his own agency, and right now it’s bigger than his solo mtjj group. It is not going away because if it does, so does his remaining popularity.

MZY was used to be bashed for her acting on I Am the Actor. I like her though and I think she’s pretty fine in the Untamed. She also looks pretty.

I agree with some comments above. I may want to see MZY more than TXW as the FL for this GM adaptation. I enjoyed several GM’s books and adaptations as well including One Smile is Very Alluring, Boss&Me, and My Sunshine.

I would really love it if Li Xian is confirmed to play Lin Yusen but I’ve seen on some melon accounts on X that Song Weilong is now the rumored ML for this and the FL is a 00s flower~
The casting for this drama is giving me the First Frost circus where all the young actors & actresses got rumored to be cast and ultimately got Bai Jingting & Zhang Ruonan who were not in my bingo card.

I think Tian Xiwei suits the female lead role more. Gu Man tends to choose the most popular actors and actresses for her dramas, and she’s a big fan of Yang Yang. Let’s see whether she will choose him for the male lead role again LOL.
I hope not to see Yang Yang. Really, I did like him in LoveO2O and You are my glory,but for these past recent years, Yang Yang is getting oily and oily. I don’t see any progress in his acting skill.

It’s just my personal opinion that I think she suits the role, but I don’t know whether Gu Man will accept her, seeing as she has a tendency for choosing the popular ones.
I’ve read melon on X saying the male is Song WeiLong. Li Xian suits more since the ML is 28 or 29 y.o. i forget. While the FL is early 20 and just finished college. LI Xian and Zhao Lusi will be a great couple for this drama too. Xiao Zhan will be great as well.
I dont really watch anything with TXW but i think she’s a good actress. I’ve watched Meng’s drama, and i like her.
But I really wish they cast Wan Peng. Girl can act and have pretty face. She will suit FL character well.
ZLS was the first actress to be invited, but the producer says she declined the role. I sometimes wonder whats going through her brain. Her two modern dramas don’t look promising with her co-stars being way older than her. This would have suited her more.
On a side note, both Meng Ziyi and Tian Xiwei has other rumored dramas and the latest rumor says the male lead would be Song Weilong and female lead a 00 actress.
LYN reportedly chose another drama with Yang Zi and people are saying this would be the most perfect casting in Cdrama lmao.
