Bai Lu and Cheng Lei Confirmed and Starts Filming Tencent Period C-drama Mo Li
C-actress Bai Lu is known for being a near uninterrupted hard worker, she goes from project to project and she’s now rolling into being the top billed female lead in period C-drama Mo Li (莫离) which literally translates as Don’t Leave. It’s adapted from the novel Sheng Shi Di Fei 盛世嫡妃 or Golden Age Legitimate Consort and is a strong female lead empowerment story, from the vibes it reminds me of Bai Lu’s previous drama Story of Kunning Palace. The male lead will be Cheng Lei who has sooooo many dramas waiting to air after his breakout with My Story to You. His Legend of the Female General was supposed to have aired until a supporting lead scandal delayed it, and he also has Shadow Love and How Dare You!? on deck. I’m game for these two stars to work together and am excited to see the first official sneak peaks at what their costuming will look like.
I hope we can get another good arranged marriage drama after The Prisoner Of Beauty. And Cheng Lei looks less fierce in the sneak peek compared to his other upcoming dramas. Still cant believe we get this couple
Yep more imperial political shenanigans and either transmigration or redo story that will be slightly altered due to restrictions. But despite this this pairing is not bad at all.
