tvN Weekend Drama Our Unwritten Seoul with Park Bo Young and Jinyoung Off to Promising Start with Steady Ratings Increase and Strong Reviews — 10 Comments

  1. Happy for Park Bo Young! She is a great actress and it’s so lovely to see her career going from strength to strength lately after nearly 20 yeas in the industry. Leaving her old agency and moving to BH Entertainment was a great shot in the arm for her career. They take good care of her and aside from better roles, her styling has improved and opportunities and endorsements have increased too. I have noticed she’s been filming pretty much non-stop for the last few years though so I hope she can take a break but she is about to start filming yet another new drama so no break yet.

I was sceptical about Jinyoung as her lead as I find him a bit bland as an actor but seems like he is doing fine in this drama. Also shout out to Ryu Kyung Soo who is playing the twin’s potential love interest and is always good in every drama I have seen him in.
Isn’t this drama from the same director who directed that flop Lee Min Ho space drama? They must be relieved this is getting a much better reaction than that dumpster fire.

  2. This one is very impressive. Park Bo Young is a brilliant actress (I knew that before but then she went ahead and reminded me of how good she is), there are some impressive acting on show here.

The most impressive thing here though is the writing, the writer had a brilliant idea of showing there’s different sides to people and what they show you doesn’t necessarily depict who they neither show us what they are going through, we should learn to try and put ourselves in other people shoes sometimes and pay attention to little details. Mi ji and Mi rae got to see each other’s lives and got to see what they are both going through and noticed they took advantage of each other one way or another. It’s not always rosy on the other side.

It’s a brilliant concept and I just hope it continues like this, although I am trusting the writer on this one. Brilliant series.

  3. I am enjoying this series so far. I hope it does not derail in the remaining half. I read that she postponed her fan meet tour. Hopefully, she will resume

    • The FM tour was postponed apparently because enough tickets didn’t sell. They’ll reorganise into a smaller venue and resale again don’t worry. Might have to wait till after Goldland finishes filming so by end of the year or 4th quarter.

  4. Between Our Unwritten Seoul and Good Boy the weekends are full again! It’s good to see many different genres in the time slot with a variety of shows to watch.

  5. This is unexpectedly shaping up to be possibly my favorite drama of the year. I did not expect to be so emotionally affected by its storytelling. The FL’s thoughts are painfully relatable to anyone who has gone through similar experiences. And I have to admit I was almost bawling in the latest episode at what the grandma told the FL when she was at her lowest.

  6. I want to watch but will wait until it finish airing as I hate that it’s only airing one ep per week.

  7. This wasn’t in my radar but seeing all the positive reviews, giving it a shot. Park Bo Young is a great actress whenever I watched her- Werewolf Boy, Oh My Ghost, Daily Dose of Sunshine.

I probably skipped this because I found Melo Movie boring. I’m sorry to everyone who enjoyed that.

I’m glad she found a great script in this. Can’t wait to binge it later
