So I love the dark as hell drama title Mary Kills People and also love amazing as heck female lead Lee Bo Young. But I have rarely been this triggered by a godawful hairstyle in a drama as whatever unholy in her eyes frizzy shit is on her head in these first stills. Yes, she plays a very good doctor who believes strongly in euthanasia and undertakes it against the law, but how/why does she have furry bangs in her face and eyes to this degree and still function?!? Like, this annoys me the same way the illogic of how Song Hye Kyo’s so-called friends could SELL HER HOUSE when she was on vacation in Full House (legally and practically) bothered me so much I could not enjoy the drama and remains the first triggery thing that comes up when I see something in a K-drama that takes me out of the fictional aspect of it. Lee Bo Young could have a birds nest of a hairstyle but there is no way she’s letting her bangs flop all over her eyes on the hospital floor. Gar, I wish stupid K-drama ideas of an addled genius doctor did not include looking like a hot mess. Aside from this, I still think this drama sounds great with a dark and twisty angle.
