C-actress Yang Mi Sells Out Bamboo Print House Jacket After Wearing it to Event
C-ent media has been hard on actress Yang Mi in recent years due to her lack of hit dramas and it seems like her perch at the top feels precarious. But being wildly popular for so many years still buys her wiggle room and also has not impacted her reach and ability to influence. Case in point, she wore a bamboo print house jacket this week to an event and it immediately sold out for the brand, which posted a tearful thank you to the actress because until she wore it the item sold only about 10 but after she was photographed at the event in a few hours it sold 6000 units and actually sold out. C-ent insiders say she has a great eye for fashion and taste making and could just coast on CFs and influencing if she wanted to, but she remains committed to acting and wanting to transition to serious projects outside of idol dramas.

I agree she has star factor but I am seriously unsure she can transit to serious dramas. Her acting range is not wide…that is a big issue. But I do hope she can achieve what she wants. She is a hardworking and dedicated artiste.
I heard praises for her acting in She’s Got No Name but I didn’t watch the movie. I’m generally fine with actors with limited acting range as long as they stick to roles which they perform well in. Just don’t take on roles which they can’t handle and end up defiling my eyes LOL 🤣 Many of those so called “old acting bones” also have limited acting range but people think they are great because they stick to the same type of roles.
Where would you position Huang Xiaoming?
I don’t think I have watched any of Huang Xiaoming’s recent works, so can’t say much about him. I only know he was lambasted by C-netz for being oily a couple of years back but seems like they are generally neutral with him now.

She can’t act in serious dramas cause the effects from her plastic surgery are showing as she gets older. It is very distracting.
I feel many artiste even male actors have the same issue. But not all artiste with PS have same problems. Some can look natural with their PS. Yang Mi’s looks are too outstanding.
Cosmetic procedures such as botox can leave sequels. But the same should not happen in plastic surgery, or at least, I have not seen any notable cases.

I’m waiting for Mimi’s new drama for a long time!! She’s an good actress. Mostly nonchalant or serious dramas suits her best. But in modern I think office dramas are her type. Like ‘She and Her Perfect Husband’,’Negotiator’,’The Interpreter’.
