The 2022 Busan International Film Festival Kicks Off with Red Carpet in Usual K-actress Styles with a Few Standouts
This week is the start of the prestigious and popular 2025 Busan International Film Festival in South Korea and it will be interesting to see which festival premieres generate buzz. The premiere day red carpet was dominated by the ladies, with many top actresses and popular stars showcasing their movie star quality fashion looks. The standout for me was Kim Yoo Jung who was their with actor Kim Young Dae to promote their upcoming dark thriller K-drama Dear X. Her rich blue draped gown had a gorgeous color on her and of course the most dramatic element was the high high leg split. I did think she was a tad uncomfortable that she would accidentally flash her hoo haw lol but other than that it was a fun choice for her when promoting a role that is a femme fatale. The only problem was the horrible pairing with the knee length cowboy on top stiletto on bottom boots, almost ruined the look and this dressed needed sky high stiletto sandals. There was a lot of the usual pastel or pink or golden dresses with no one looking awful but also once again not memorable.
Goodness, even the hair looks boring and dull.

Not a KPop fan but I also think she looks the best! Her hair color and the colors in her dress look like they came from the same color palette, and this gives a cohesive overall look. LOVE the hair too!
That outfit aged Yoojung too much, it doesn’t flatter her at all. Still looking forward to Dear X though.
I agree. I get that it’s supposed to be her “I’m an adult now!” look, but it could’ve been executed better. I’m not puritanical and have no problem with her showing skin (she has a great body and clearly works out a lot!), but I’ve seen a comment in Reddit saying it’s a dress that would’ve looked great on someone like Kim Hye Soo, and I agree. It’s kinda aging her. Wish she was wearing a dress with a lighter material or something, I think that would give a more youthful look.
Nevertheless, she still looks good! Just not a fan of the dress lol

I can see the vision in KYJ’s look but the dress ages her. She’s 26, why did they dress her like a 40 year old? The rest are just meh. WTH is Han So Hee wearing 🥀
I like the chinese fashion much better than the korean red carpets. Its not the dresses, the chinese accessorize them well. The hairdo and makeup is trying something new too. The attitude on carpet is more diva like , trying to standout. Korean fashion is just conforming, apologetic and boring.
