Looks like even famed European jewelry and couture brand houses kowtow to the might of the Chinese authorities. Celine and Bulgari have deleted posts on its brand ambassador Lisa of Blackpink from its official Weibo accounts which is the most prominent imprint in Mainland China for brand promotion. the reason is clearly this week’s ban on Chinese actresses Angelababy and Zhang Jia Ni who attended Lisa’s burlesque show at the Crazy Horse in Paris last month. Lisa’s own Weibo accounts are also reportedly banned or not able to be accessed but since Lisa is not a Chinese citizen or celebrity in that country, though her reach as the most popular Blackpink member extends over there, it’s no wonder Celine and Bulgari need to be mindful of not getting their own Weibo accounts banned by having posts on Lisa up. I don’t know if this will have any big/long term impact on Lisa but girl is off doing whatever she wants so if she doesn’t mind losing access to China for the time being or losing endorsements then it doesn’t really matter to her.
