Top Stars Ha Jung Woo and Gong Hyo Jin Criticized by K-media for Being Late to Their Movie Press Conference and Doing the Interview with Sunglasses On
The core tenets of K-media presentation, however much it’s for show, is respect and professionalism. Stars need to be humble, bow appropriately, have patience for the whole dog-and-pony show, answer questions earnestly, and you get the drill. There have been plenty of times stars young to old have caught flack for failing to be appropriately engaged and this week it’s top star Gong Hyo Jin and Ha Jung Woo at the center of the “so rude” complaint. They were attending a festival press conference to promote their upcoming movie The People Upstairs along with actor Kim Dong Wook, he was there on time but the other two were a good 20 minutes late. And then when they arrived, they kept their sunglasses on during the press conference which was outdoors but it was an overcast day with no sun on. Gong Hyo Jin did take her sunglasses off midway through the question and answer session but Ha Jung Woo kept his on the entire time. The two are being criticized for acting like big shots, showing up late and being rude in keeping their sunglasses on. It’s a bit of a nothingburger since yes they were mildly unprofessional but not enough to ruin their careers over. TBH, it’s actually getting more coverage for their movie lol which works to the movie’s advantage at the end of the day.

The sunglasses indoors for Press Meeting…rather strange. maybe they had a bad night.
Yeah it feels kind of weird too. Somehow wearing sunglasses indoors always makes me think of hiding facial injuries or PS 😂
The article says it was outdoors but it wasn’t sunny.
BIFF Open Talks are held outdoors.,
Lmao my only issue is with the late coming. Other than that, I have no issues whatsoever and I’m sure this will all blow over soon.
Maybe product placement during press conference? Selling sunglasses? And in the middle of dialogue takes out kopiko and says oh my so tired from answering questions, these sweets really perk me up!!
I also wanna complain. I wanna complain why they take breaths? So rude.
Men in Black vibes… lol
Weird that they’re BOTH wearing sunglasses. Could understand it if only one of them had it on. The movie isn’t some sort of spy thriller movie either. So why?
The fact that it wasn’t sunny doesn’t really matter–you can still use the protection from UV rays even when it’s cloudy outside. Sometimes my eyes hurt worse on cloudy days without sunglasses than they do on sunny days. Arriving late is bad, but the sunglasses criticism seems silly. If they don’t want people wearing sunglasses, they shouldn’t have events outside.
Looks like they were out drinking till daybreak. LOL
