Environmental Conservation C-drama Born to be Alive with Yang Zi and Hu Ge Release First Preview Highlighting the Theme of Protecting the Tibetan Plains
C-actress Yang Zi and her concerted foray into more serious topic dramas continue, she did Flourished Peony/In the Name of Blossom last year, and on deck is The Mo (Family Business) maybe releasing early next year. But she just finished filming Born to be Alive (Life Tree) and the first teaser trailer is out and it looks award season fodder and gorgeous in visuals. She’s the top billed female lead while bigger star Hu Ge is in the drama as a special appearance tag so I suspect his character is doing the mentor thing and then gets offed midway through. Born is set in the stark and sprawling vistas of the Tibetan highlands and centered around environmental conservation, namely endangered species protection primarily around the Tibetan antelope. The preview looks gritty and intense and it’s going to be hard to find anyone objecting to the topic of stopping avaricious poachers and trying to preserve an untouched habitat.

And I appreciate that the actors takes the effort to look weather-beaten.
I think it is very silly to put actors especially those highly hyped idols in serious dramas, and have them act in their milky white skin.
I’m not exactly a big fan of Yang Zi, but I’ve always had a soft spot for her. So every time she releases a new drama, I end up watching it no matter what.
This was already done, and very well, with Kekexili movie some years ago.
Hu Ge looks amazing and his acting in the preview is incredible.
She is so heavily under filters and as always, at best mediocre. Well, she need not worry, everyone else will carry it for her as usual while she buys hot searches and data.
This is so pathetic lol. Always claims she ‘buys’ data but investors love her and insert their products for ads. You think investors will do that everytime for a drama filled with water? What next will you say? She bought those investors right?😂

LOL koala always posts false news concerning Zi and her dramas for some reason that always baffles me. Whether it is a little or big false news she always consistently adds it. This drama is not yet done filming btw and rumors are it will wrap up this month. Anyways looking forward to the drama and the previews has really raised our expectations high
