I sense an intentional emulation of the Cannes Film Festival red carpet here with the sprawling staircase but since it works so well totally go for the same grandeur vibe. The 25th annual Shanghai International Film Festival opened over the weekend with a grand red carpet gala and so many Chinese and Hong Kong stars in attendance with movies to showcase and promote. The red carpet dresses were not as glamorous and grand as for an awards ceremony event so my favorite was Ni Ni in her pink grecian gown and Shu Qi who did black but in a fun pretty way with accents on top and red thread on her layered tulle bottom. Also shoutout to Hu Ge and Wu Lei for reuniting to promote their upcoming movie together.
