tvN Kicks off Promos for January 2026 Workplace K-drama Undercover Miss Hong with Park Shin Hye and Go Kyung Pyo
It’s a blast from the looooong past that is reuniting for the upcoming first of the new year 2026 tvN K-drama Undercover Miss Hong. It will star Park Shin Hye and Go Kyung Pyo who worked together in the adorable Flower Boy Next Door over a decade plus ago, and now he’s definitely not a flower boy lol and she’s totally not a shut in here instead playing a top financial executive who goes undercover as a newbie to root out corruption. I love that the capable version of Park Shin Hye looks sleek and savvy but will forever lol at how K-dramas are so visually literal and turn her undercover rookie employee into a walking meme girl. The drama is slated to premiere in mid-January and while it doesn’t sound terribly exciting from the premise I’m always up for a Park Shin Hye picked project.

Will they show the male lead? A lot of people have been griping on the main male lead has been looking less handsome each drama he has churned out so far. Maybe he will surprise us this project, though the emphasis seems to be mainly park shin hye in this promo. It would be interesting to see where this goes. She has been fairly diverse so far in the roles she has been taking. Hope for the best.
I wasn’t able to warm up to PSH in her heyday. But she changed my perception with Dr. Slump although the drama was a slump on the way to the last ep LOL. The business office setting isn’t appealing to me. Why should I experience that again online when off work? LOL. Nonetheless, Typhon Family was a rare exception beyond my expectation that I was intrigued to watch from ep 1 to the end. So, I’ll be open minded to this one. Who knows? The recent Kdrama did offer me some pleasant surprise, unlike the first half of 2025. Perhaps Kdrama can continue this promising streak into 2026.
I like a good office comedy and it will be my first PSH show, so I’m looking forward to it!
