I’m so used to seeing Wang Xing Yue in period garb that I always do a double take when I see him in modern characters. He didn’t interest me in the supporting male lead role in Amidst a Snowstorm of Love when I first watched it before I became a fan and then rewatching it after his role and performance came across as so much better. Now three years later he’ll be returning to modern fare with Hunan TV romance drama A Love Confession with young actress Deng En Xi. They start off in the college years and there is a separation/misunderstanding before they reunite as adults in their own career paths. The network has released only a handful of stills and one poster but should have more promos soon as the drama is likely to air in the second half of this year. I’m enjoying what comes across as the good girl/bad boy vibe with these two.
