Disney+ (and Hulu) streaming K-drama The Remarried Empress is also garnering lots of “its going to bad” predictions that the most the production could try to do is win on the promos. Make it look good, all gorgeous visuals and designs and lean into the faux-European royalty backdrop. But so far the promos have been mid, nothing to write home about, so I guess the production decided of they can’t actually produce top notch output then go the opposite direction and produce literal trash. Because the latest drama posters are so wildly ridiculously bad. It’s like an 11 year old on Wattpad made posters on her Macbook Neo for her fanfiction that’s getting cross posted to tumblr. Poor Shin Mina and Joo Ji Hoon look like poor wax figure facsimiles of themselves, and Lee Jong Seok and Lee Se Young only barely skate out unscathed because their posters are from side angles. This is uncanny valley territory and not in a good way since this isn’t a horror drama haha.
