Song Joong Ki Successfully Hosts 2018 MAMA Ceremony in Hong Kong
I don’t think the star power of MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards) has dimmed yet and in 2018 the three location ceremony was dominated by the biggest boyband of the year BTS so plenty of people tuned in. I watched a bit just for the hosts – Jung Hae In in Korea, Park Bo Gum in Japan, and Song Joong Ki in Hong Kong. This was Joong Ki’s third time hosting MAMA but he’s a veteran at music show hosting having been a host of Music Bank way back when during the early days of his career, before being shot out into the fame stratosphere after Descendants of the Sun and now also being Mr. Song Hye Kyo (and her being Mrs. Song Joong Ki – it’s rare to have a top couple being completely equal in fame). Song Joong Ki looked great hosting, love his tux and glad to see his longer hair tamed down. Up next for Joong Ki is the sageuk drama Asadal with Kim Ji Won.
