The 2020 Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards took place this week in Seoul with an actual ceremony though very understated as it’s a government sponsored function. It’s organized by the government’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the awards go to all entertainer groups. Of the actors and actresses here are the winners: Order of Cultural Merit went to veterans Byun Hee Bong and Go Doo Shim as well as screenwriter Song Ji Na, Presidential Commendation was given to Kim Hee Ae, Hyun Bin, Chun Ho Jin and screenwriter Kim Eun Hee, Prime Minister’s commendation selected Kang Ha Neul, Gong Hyo Jin, and Yoon Yoo Sun, and the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Commendation picked Ryu Soo Young, Jung Sung Ha and Jo Jae Yoon. Nice to see everyone out and about and proud to receive their awards.
