So this is really happening and with this main foursome cast, I never could have fantasy cast this lol. K-ent is reporting that the K-drama adaptation of webtoon Remarried Empress will air on Disney+ and is slated to be a 10-episode drama. Please drop it all at once Disney+ rather than one episode or a few episodes a week, pretty … Continue reading →
Dang, the Joo Ji Hoon method really did pay off. And by that I mean star in as many dramas as he can possibly/physically film and one of them is bound to be a hit thanks to the law of probability. Lol, I’m kidding of course but his medical K-drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call has absolutely paid off … Continue reading →
K-actor Joo Ji Hoon went on a tear in 2024 with three released K-dramas in Blood Free and Light Shop both on Disney+, and Love Your Enemy which aired on tvN. He’s continuing his drama stream to start 2025 with the release of The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call exclusively on Netflix. It’s actually called Season 1 so I know … Continue reading →
This could be a big year for Disney+, what with Netflix hit or miss these days, terrestrial channels still struggling, and big cable like tvN and jTBC also not consistently producing hits. Last year the streaming platform hosted the leads of its biggest on deck dramas to Singapore for a media event and this week released new official shots of … Continue reading →
In a real casting way and in a meta casting way, this is about as good as I can hope for with the drama adaptation of webtoon Remarried Empress coming along. This week there is news that Joo Ji Hoon is in talks to play Emperor Sovieshu, the male lead antagonist of the drama, or shall we say the BIGGEST … Continue reading →
Joo Ji Hoon has turned into the hardest working actor in K-ent these days, he as one currently airing drama, another one about to air, and now is in talks for his next one. The political thriller K-drama Climax announced it’s likely cast today and the leads are Joo Ji Hoon with Ha Ji Won. They played a married couple … Continue reading →
I don’t know if this drama will be a hit when it’s all done but this is definitely a very promising sign. This weekend tvN released rom-com Love Your Enemy with Joo Ji Hoon and Jung Yumi, taking over from Jeonghyeon: A Star is Born. I legit had zero interest in this drama but judging from the ratings am inclined … Continue reading →
Netflix has announced a new medical K-drama likely airing in 2024. It’s called The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call and is adapted from the same name novel and webtoon. The drama will be led by Joo Ji Hoon with his full cast of trauma center doctors including Choo Yeong Woo, Yoon Kyung Ho, Ha Young, and Jeong Jae Kwang. The … Continue reading →
I feel like this is old school casting and in a good way. Han Hyo Joo has been offered the female lead in 2023 sci-fi drama Dominant Species (Dominion) which would pair her with Joo Ji Hoon who has been cast as the male lead. I mention old school because they basically debuted the exact same time in the mid-2000 … Continue reading →
I’m glad Joo Ji Hoon woke up at the end of Jirisan because the whole conceit was weird but I’m glad he’s not shunning the fantasy or sci-fi genres even if some don’t work out. He’s in talks for a new streaming only drama called Dominant Species written by the screenwriter of Secret Forest (Stranger), she wrote both seasons and … Continue reading →
Oooooh this looks so good already! The first stills are out for the K-movie Gentlemen and male lead Joo Ji Hoon certainly looks like a streetwise version of one. The movie has Joo Ji Hoon playing a private investigator who is accused of murder and partners with female lead Choi Sung Eung to help clear his name. Choi Sung Eun … Continue reading →
I legit forgot it was the final airing weekend of tvN Sat-Sun drama Jirisan. Normally such a high profile drama would be generating buzz and chatter heading into the finale but it was crickets because the ardent drama fans that would generate content have long since checked out. The final episode got 9.225% ratings which is higher than the 7%-8% … Continue reading →
This has been a see-saw weekend for tvN weekend drama Jirisan (Mount Jiri) so it’s once again hard to see where this drama is headed for the long run in terms of ratings and audience reception. This Sunday’s episode 4 brought in an increase to 9.384% ratings which isn’t as high as the breaking 10% episode 2 but the better … Continue reading →
