K-actor Kim Min Jae is swapping out the nouveau riche chaebol gamjatang heir for Joseon era scrubs as he’s been confirmed for the tvN series Joseon Psychiatrist Yoo Se Poong. He plays a success royal acupunturist who leaves the palace after he loses that ability and finds new healing methods in a small village. He partners with Kim Hyang Gi who plays a young widow who can sense people’s emotions and thoughts. Also joining the cast is Kim Sang Kyung as the grumpy mysterious veteran doctor in the village. Directing is the PD of Special Labor Inspector Mr. Jo and Ruler: Master of the Mask. The drama is slated to air sometime in 2022.
