Next SBS Wed-Thurs Drama Dear Judge with Yoon Shi Yoon and Lee Yoo Young Holds Script Reading
Another week another K-drama starts filming. The upcoming SBS legal drama Dear Judge is basically mashing up recent dramas Switch with the lookalikes and masquerading identities with other dramas like Miss Hammurabi and Judge v. Judge with all that hotblooded judges fighting for justice angle. I wonder when this genre will burn out and the answer is probably never considering Korean society has so much hotblooded commentary towards political, social, and financial injustice.
Dear Judge has Yoon Shi Yoon playing a set of twins, the judge brother who is upstanding and the petty criminal brother who ends up pretending to be a judge when his twin disappears. Lee Yoo Young chose this drama over Terius Behind Me so I hope there is something fresh and good to watch to come. The PD directed Mask, Heirs, Jang Ok Jung, and My Girlfriend is a Gumiho and the screenwriter did The Package, 7th Grade Civil Servant, Fugitive, and Chuno. The drama premieres at the end of July in the Wed-Thurs slot after The Undateables (Handsome Guy and Jung Eum).
So excited!! I was surprised when Lee Yoo Young turned down being paired up with So Ji Sub so I hope that this has a better overall premise.I can’t wait to see what made her sign up for this.
I like reading your articles, I appreciate the effort that goes into maintaining a site such as this, and I’m not a grammar extremist–but really, subject and verb having to agree with one another in number (singular or plural) is one of the most basic grammar rules and it’s really distracting that you keep disregarding it. (I would have bitten my tongue this time as well, if it were just the first or second or third time I’ve seen this here on koalasplayground.) Honestly, I’m always trying to ignore all the grammar and spelling errors that swamp your articles, but please try to proofread at least for the most major ones to help readability.
Anyway, the next SBS Wed-Thurs drama HOLDS script reading, not HOLD, because the subject is “drama” not “Yoon Shi-yoon and Lee Soo-young.”
Same here: “SBS Weekend Drama About Her with Nam Sang Mi, Kim Jae Won, and Jo Hyun Jae Round Out Decent Supporting Cast”
etc.
Don’t read it then!
Oh my. This comment is so ungracious. Koala peaks how many languages? 4? More? And she is such a gift to those of us who only speak English but enjoy so much of the different SouthEast Asian cultures.
Thank you, Koala!!!
Is the criticism necessary?
I want to support Yoon Shi-yoon, but I really cannot take another law drama.
I need a break after LL but I’m jumping into Mr Sunshine next Saturday so that’s my take up for dramas along with Marry me now; About time and WWSK. As for this drama with Yoon Shi Yoon and co best wishes for their season. ?
Yoon Shi Yoon and cast is good. But the writer and pď are tread with caution.I mean the PD directed “Heirs” and the writer wrote “7th grade civil servant”.The writer manage to make joo won and choi kang hee look like amateur actors because their characters were horribly written. The female character in Chuno was also not well written.I felt sorry for lee da hae.The PD manage to make Park Shin Hye become a target of hate because of partly how she was directed in Heirs.I hope they step up and improve because they have a really talented cast at their disposal.
Totally agree with you. I’m a little leery too.
Lee Yoo Young is such a fine actress so I hope I can trust her choice.
Wishing Dear Judge all the best!
Felt like this drama may need to carry a warning of PROCEED WITH CAUTION. The writer wrote some unwhelming or not-well received dramas. I like the cast though n for them i hope the script would be good from start to finish
