Park Hae Jin Wins the 2020 MBC Drama Award Daesang for Kkondae Intern in Socially Distanced Ceremony
I searched and there are no pictures of the actors and actresses attending the 2020 MBC Drama Awards with their face masks off so kudos for the production really sticking with proper protective gear and social distancing. Everyone even wore gloves too! Too bad they all decided to do only black and white for their outfits, like the fight with color in clothing continues on. The Daesang (Grand Prize) went to Park Hae Jin for Kkondae Intern, his first drama Daesang in any network so congrats but I would have given it to Shin Sung Rok for Kairos but alas the ratings still matters when the network doles out the prizes. MBC doubled up on Top Excellence and Excellence Awards, so there were winners from the Mon-Tues dramas and Wed-Thurs dramas for each category. Some of the pics were eyebrow raising, for example a female lead winning Top Excellence but the male lead only got Excellence, or the female lead not winning anything but the supporting female lead got an award. All in all MBC really didn’t produce any drama that got both ratings and critical acclaim so its onward to next year.

I love Kkondae Intern! I applaud the crew and the cast for a well-written, well-acted drama. One of the few 2020 dramas I liked.
Im happy for my Favorite Nam Ji Hyun. She really nailed her role.as Shin Ga Hyun in 365 Repeat the ayear. Very deserving to win n award. but how i wish that Lee Se Young could have won too.
All the best to Nam Ji Hyun this 2O21.
I am surprised they can still hold an awards night with how thin MBC’s output has been. I am amused by the Golden Acting Award for Shim Yi-young, as if they carved out a category for her because they have no category for daily dramas (since they only produced My Wonderful Life and Bad Love this year) and she would not have qualified for the Mon-Tues and Wed-Thurs awards.
Congratulations to all the winners, especially to Nam Ji Hyun and team 365 Repeat The Year. Well deserved.
Beyond happy that 365: Repeat the year won. This is one of my favorite k drama in 2020. My huge congratulations to Nam Ji Hyun, Lee Joon Hyuk and Lee Sung Wook.
Due to lack of hits for years now, I do not know that MBC still exists. I wonder who will be the stars that will make it a home of hits again.
Kairos, 365 repeat the Year and Find me in your memory were good drama in 2020. if these dramas had been shown in other networks, sbs, cBle networks- for sure they would have gotten higher viewership ratings. MBC sucks in promoting their projects.
Huge congrats to my girl NJH. Well deserved. May she shows off another notch of her expanding acting skills next year. The fashion is so dull and boring. Goodness me, whoever is dressing NJH ought to be fired. She’s only 25, pretty and has a good figure but her dress is so matronly bordering on maternity especially the front pleats. Her hair stylist should take the boot too, making her hair looked messy and mature. Ha Ji Won who’s way older looked completely classy in white at the 18th Busan International Film Festival. Strapless white tight gown with a white jacket thrown over her shoulders. NJH could easily pull off that look with her youth and vitality. Sigh. Korean TV award fashion is so darn frustrating.
What is Kim Hye Yoon wearing? She looks matronly in her outfit. and her hair….is her stylist mad at her or what?
New year, new chance to change your ways, ms shammer
Talk about fashion faux pas. The gloves are such a killer. Some pull it off but others remind me of Michael Jackson in the 80s. Gosh, such a mess. Congrats though to all the winners. MBC is never good in promoting their dramas. I stopped watching the award shows after 2016. That was their golden year. Those that did well that year wasn’t promoted of course such as SKL and WLFKBJ.
I don’t really care about ratings. MBC could make good SF shows like Kairos and 365 with a solid plot and great actors.
It was nice to see the last year winnners giving the awards.
I am surprised of PHJ winning the Daesang. I’ve watched most of his dramas but I didn’t see him much of an actor, he is good but not really outstanding in his past drama, IMO. That is why the win caught me by surprise. But, I did not watch Kkondae Intern. He’d probably performed well in it, thus the Daesang win. I am not complaining but surprised. Anyhow, Congratulations!
