The confirmation for upcoming K-drama Human Disqualification feels a harem for the male lead, lol. I’m teasing but it’s five actresses and one actor so far, so lucky him. K-ent has announced Jeon Do Yeon and Ryu Jun Yeol for the drama Human Disqualification, and yes their big age difference is intentional as the female lead is in her 40’s and the male lead is in his 20’s. Joining them in supporting roles are Kim Hyo Jin, Son Na Eun, Park Ji Young, and Jo Eun Ji so lots of talented ladies in addition to award winning Jeon Do Yeon. Even more impressive is the drama is the first television project of award winning director Hur Jin Ho, he’s written drama screenplays before but he’s been focused on directing movies only until now. And he’s also working with screenwriter Kim Ji Hye who is also doing her first television work, she’s won awards for tons of movie scripts. The drama will start filming soon for a later 2021 airing though the network has not been confirmed yet.

Ryu Jun Yeol is in his 30s
Jeon Do Yeon \o/ She's a great actress! Good Wife was really good thanks to her.
Except Son Na Eun (she was not very good in Dinner Mate), it looks promising.
Not very good? That's too kind. Son Na Eun has been atrocious in every single drama I've seen her in. I don't know why or how she keeps getting cast for roles when she just can't act.
Everyone’s making a tv series comeback, Song Hye Kyo, Zhang Ziyi and now Jeon So Yeon. Wow.
I guess movies don’t pay as much due to the pandemic so all previously ‘exclusive’ movie stars, production companies and crew are now flocking to making dramas. Reminds me that a few years ago, almost everyone looked down on dramas as second tier and wanted to star in and make movies. I’m not really sure what this means for the drama world as on a positive note, it means the quality of drama productions will improve especially since Netflix is pumping a lot of money towards Kdrama production; and on a negative note, it takes a very different set of skills for a successful kdrama vs. k-movie.
RJY usually works now with award-winning and A-list actors. Him, being focused on movies did great for him. I can see Yoo Ji-tae in him.
Honestly, I am a fan of PBG but I like RJY's career path more. Hopefully, after Bogum's enlistment, he would comeback with a project that would totally highlight his acting ability like Remember You/Hello Monster or do another ensemble drama or movie.
Is this related to Ningen Shinkaku / No longer human?
Idk if I able to watch this type of stories, one time is enough
Ryu junyeol not in his 20s, he is one year older than Lee Minho
