The success of tvN drama Hometown Cha Cha Cha could point to an opening for K-dramas set in the countryside with a coterie of eccentric down-to-earth villagers and two good looking sparky leads. The upcoming drama Accidental Country Diary sounded like it was a similar type of story with a Seoul vet who moves to the countryside and reconnect with his childhood friend/crush who never left. It was to star Jang Geun Seok and Sooyoung, a solid potential pairing, but alas it is not to be. K-ent reported yesterday that the drama production has halted and disbanded, it’s not happening at all anymore and both leads are now looking at other scripts and projects. That’s a bummer but if there is something problematic about the production then it’s best not to proceed.
There are weird casting choices and this one is weird from both the leads itself…
Well this is an interesting pairing, setting aside the age difference at least I can…
I swear I just wrote about Song Joong Ki having his first baby and then…
At the end of the day, the core of any good drama remains the Story,…
If I didn't know this drama was a romance set in space and done K-drama…
If Wang Xing Yue ever needs extra money he can be a professional dubber for…

Who want to watch snsd has beens in 2021 expect yoona or Taeyeon's singing career? Other members are irrelevant as much as they try.
SNSD are legendary, though.
The irony when Sooyoung's video of her dancing in SWF is currently trending #1 on youtube Korea since last night lol. She also still has another upcoming drama with Ji Changwook. Let's see how that goes.
Knetz say Yoona and Taeyeon are re-peaking nowadays with their many projects and multiple new CFs, but other members are doing well too. Yuri just had a hit drama with Bossam (9,7% was a record breaking rating for MBN), Tiffany is on her sold-out Chicago musical tour, Seohyun has 3 upcoming movies/drama and just recently appointed as Asia-Pacific brand ambassador for Clinique. The least buzzy ones are probably Sunny (but she is now a permanent cast on like 5 different shows at once) and Hyoyeon whose songs made some buzz through tiktok challenges and she's still relevant enough to be a model for golf wear Le Coq Sportif (with Yuri).
They're doing really well for has-beens! SNSD is probably one of the rare 2nd generation groups whose each members are still very active in the industry lol. They even ranked #2 in female groups brand reputation ranking this month, just under Blackpink and above other popular 3rd and 4th gen groups.
Yuri literally finished a sageuk a few weeks ago that was successful and she did great to my big surprise lmao I know the whole niche for this site is being nasty (which I enjoy!) but let's not go into delulu land. And no, before I'm "accused" of being an snsd stan, I hate kpop, and most of all idols who drop into kdramaland completely unprepared and ruin shows, so there.
I'm also not a snsd fan, and I agree Yuri did very well in her sageuk drama, I was shocked tbh lol sageuk usually are harder and she fitted well!
Tbf, Sooyoung really not watchable as a lead.
I'll concur on I married an Anti-fan but Soo-young held her own in Run-on. She definitely gave off leading lady vibes in that drama.
I disagree , Sooyoung is not bad at all . And if SNSD are old now, they still one of the best Kpop girls band of their generation . So they never be has beens for me . Already 40 years since Abba disbanded and for me they aren't has beens. the same for Backstreet boys, no matter what people say .
The drama is not canceled but postponed to next summer so the actors couldn't take such long wait.
