The story of Yumi’s Cells is already writ in stone, at least in the webtoon. There are three male leads and the current season of Yumi’s Cells 2 is only on the second man in her life. But rather than feel like a placeholder, Jinyoung‘s Yoo Babi makes it feel like a natural and so sweet progression for Kim Go Eun‘s Yumi to find love again after her breakup with Woong and also doesn’t stress me out too much that Yumi-Babi isn’t the ultimate end game. I think it’s because the drama does such a good job of showing how relatable Yumi is in going through the 7 stages of break up to new love, so if/when it happens again we all know Yumi will get through it and have hope she will find another worthy man who loves her. I’m enjoying Yumi’s Cells 2 so so much and it’s all thanks to the impeccably acting of Kim Go Eun (so cute) and the warm appeal of Jinyoung which the two capture beautifully in this Elle Korea pictorial.

Babi might be end game but we’ll see, I’m hoping they follow the webtoon. I love Yumi as always but just not enjoying it as much as season 1 because I’m still not fully sold on Babi, he still doesn’t feel like a fleshed out enough character after all this time, something’s off for me right now with him (and no o have not read the webtoon!) As much as I love Woong and Yumi together, they are not the best fit. We’ll see what happens, I’m still enjoying the ride for the most part and just want Yumi to be happy

Jinyoung for me gives all the feels as Ba Bi. KGE plays her part really well but JY, omg, he’s delivering all the fluffy feelings, just like he did on the Netflix drama When Love Blooms. He’s good, really good.
I agree with this. Woong felt more fleshed out by episodes 4-6 of S1 compared to Babi at the same point in the current season. I hope the writing is going somewhere with this. We’ve spent little time in Babi’s head so it feels like we still don’t know him.
His haircut is too short, it doesn’t suit him. But KGE with longer hair looks more beautiful than cute.
Yes. The cells are so adorable and relatable. I swear nowadays I can hear them in my head too! 😂😂😂 Loved S1 and enjoying S2. Dont really care who ends up with Yumi as long as she is happy. After all it is about Yumi and her cells.
I like her relationship with Babi… its sweet and passionate an Babi is straightforward with her… he’s not so complicated or proud and he prioritizes her.
Her relationship with woong was not so bad but she was obviously not first…
