C-novelist Priest is well known for being prolific and also having a subset of BL novels that are wildly popular. Her BL novels have been adapted into dramas Word of Honor and Guardian and a third Sha Po Lang was filming in 2020 into the drama Winner is King (烽火流金) but has languished on the shelf due to the soft BL ban. With the reported lifting of the soft ban and allowing BL-novel adapted dramas to air with self-censorship of BL elements, word on the street is that Winner is King with Tan Jian Ci and Chen Zhe Yuan will air next month in March. No word on what the end product will resemble the source novel but for fans who have been nearly waited into stone for this one it’s probably a relief to get it over and done with.

Chen Zhe Yuan is in so many dramas now that I feel that he will be too heavily promoted. His rise to main lead is quite fast. He does have the acting chops and the looks.
I’m not too optimistic considered Justice in the Dark still has not updated yet. And there’s supposedly a communist meeting or something this month (although idk what has meeting got to do with entertainment?)
This meeting is an annual thing. Every March, C-ent has to lay low until this meeting ends because they cannot overshadow the news of this meeting.
