So this is a fantasy/office/romance plus the noona-dongsaeng age difference which feels like a throwback only because it’s not being done as frequently as prior years. A new K-drama got cast this week called Branding in Seongsudong starring Kim Ji Eun and Park Solomon (Lomon) which is a weird pairing if any. She plays a top marketing executive who is cold and capable and he’s the warm hearted intern and they switch souls and hijinks, growth, and romance ensue. It’s set in the world of the district of Seonsudong which is the center of the branding and marketing world in Seoul. It’s from the PD of Never Give Up and Eccentric Chef Moon and will air later this year.
Is it a webtoon adaptation? Cause I find the synopsis similar to a webtoon called 1/24. Where a head of division and an intern switch body for an hour everday…
I love 1/24 Romance! Isn’t it still ongoing? And it’s from the same creator of Whats Wrong with Secretary Kim.
I wonder why Ji-Eun gets so many main roles. She had no chemistry with any partners and wasn’t really good…
I am wondering the same thing – she’s everywhere! however upon reading past news, it might be because she’s a hard worker who’s willing to take a variety of roles – she started off from the bottom and does not have family money nor sponsor backing her.
She must have someone behind her, either a powerful agency or a sponsor… Because she acted with big names like Lee Joon-Gi and Nam Goong-Min twice and she didn’t have any chemistry with them, so the hard-working doesn’t work alone.
She may have put a spell on Kentertainment, because if she doesn’t have a great agency, backup,…it’s not because of her “stellar “acting . She partenered up with great actors who can created chemistry with a street lamp , and NADA, Rien,Nicht , NOTHING , just boring acting ???? Sorry to have to say
