jTBC Continues to Lean into the Bodily Humor in New Character Posters for Comedic Investigative Drama Behind Your Touch
I feel like this stuff would be fine maybe even 10 years ago, 20 years ago definitely, but in this day and age when bodily autonomy is openly expected it’s just odd how this drama leans against it. jTBC drama Behind Your Touch has Han Ji Min playing a vet who can read minds when she touches the behind of a person/animal which is a one track set up if anyone which is fine but for the very method being so uncomfortably unacceptable in this day. Like, hello, who is okay with some random lady touching your butt? For any reason? The new posters highlight that with Han Ji Min doing her grabby hands gesture. Sure the South Koreans do love their toilet/body humor in the more physical and crass comedies but I feel this one will take a lot to overcome the premise and make viewers okay with it.
Well I hope the production and casts are not too dumb accepting this project without thinking how the butt grabbing theme will play out. The same team behind TLIYE should have considered how this theme is really sensitive. We will see how they handled this with the theme. This is pre produced so I hope all their hardwork will not go to waste. I hope it will be fun and done tastefully. Prove Koala wrong lol
I was so excited the day I heard she was back with romantic comedy :c There wasnt any synopsis around so I didnt know but got my expectations high… When I saw trailer before reading synopsis after sometime, its just way too cringe and awkward. I felt so weird for such a short video I cant imagine watching drama her touching backs of leads or any animal for that matter.
I wonder IF fans will dare to judge such vulgar thing when female does to male?! Because IF story was other way around male touching female lıke that I know what kind of comments I would see.
This is going to be weird, awkward, eccentric and a massive hit just like all the previous works by this PD. Veteran actors are pulling in ratings for even the most sub-par plots recently. What on earth was Crash Course? A complete train wreck of a drama but still had high ratings, Dr Cha and Good Bad Mother were pretty makjang and meandering after the first half but still had very high ratings.

Well, if she does not touch the butt for 10 seconds, the judge will acquit her lol (recent case in Italy where a judge got infamous for his 10-second rule when groping). Seriously though, I can’t see how butt-touching can ever be funny especially in this day and age where groping in public spaces is a serious problem. Probably forgivable career-choice if the leads were in their early 20s still clueless and still building their careers, but I scratch my head why HJM and LMK agreed to do this drama. I want to see them in a romcom, I hope there aren’t too many groping/sexual harassment scenes (let’s stop sugar-coating)
