Wow, I thought the zombie wave was over who thought it would be resurrected, pun intended har har. Coupang Play is planning a new K-drama titled Influenza and offers are out to Park Jung Min and Jisoo of Blackpink as the leads. It’s from a same name novel about about a soldier and the girlfriend is is breaking up with getting swept up in a zombie outbreak and need to make their way to each other. Both of them become stronger to survive and see each other overcoming past uncertainty and weakness. The drama is from the screenwriter of Parasite so a lot of prestige right there.

Blackpink members don’t even need acting when they are set for life from their nearly 300 million stadium tour ( snsd all tours combined can’t touch that number even with inflation). That is how big they are when previous gen biggest group can’t touch them in global success. Also less members to share. Not to mention their global cf deals. Although acting project backfired. Still Producers wanna cast them and pay huge numbers because of their global success. I hope it works for them and they are now being smart in selecting scripts. Because they have no shortage of money and are more global than local stars
