Period C-drama Follow Your Heart with Luo Yun Xi and Song Yi Air Drops on iQiyi Today with No Promotion

I’ve been exposed to too many C-drama unannounced air drops I’m just glad a streaming C-drama isn’t a giant elephant image that dropped on us announced lol. Air drops also don’t mean the drama is sucky and the platform wants to just squirrel it away though sometimes that is the case, it really depends and some reasons are due to scheduling switches last minute more than anything. Period C-drama Follow Your Heart air dropped today on iQiyi and it was literally hours from the announcement to the release. Starring Luo Yun Xi, Song Yi, Chen Yao, and Cheng Lei, along with lots of familiar face supporting actors and actresses, the drama seems to be going for a down-to-earth palette and comedic tone and kinda reminds me of Song Yi’s last drama Destiny. With The Double ending for me and no currently airing K-drama on my watch list I’m thrilled to unexpected get a new drama to check out this weekend.

  • I definitely won't take into account how unhealthy Luo Yunxi looks (it's been years since I've seen a drama with him in it and I'm surprised to see what he looks like now) if he delivers a good acting, but I won't stay if the plot gets messy :)

Although I think I'll wait a while to see another C-drama after The Double. I don't want my hopes to die so fast lol.

  • Can they stop pairing up Luo Yun Xi with women that aren’t at his level of beauty? So odd to look at.

It’s hella weird when the woman doesn’t look better than the man. Also extremely illogical and unrealistic since the only reason a man would be with a woman who looks worse than him is that she has some use to him like having lotsa money.

Song Yi is a talented actress but her features are definitely lacking. Costume dramas make it worse for her. She should stick to modern dramas.

She must have hella self confidence to agree to pairing with actors and working with actresses that look better than her. Gotta give mad props to that level of confidence

    • Is LYX pretty? My friend claims he looks like a malay and refuses to watch his dramas. Song Yi's visuals are fine imo and she has successful costume dramas as well.

      • She is way more attractive than the male lead. Never felt male lead attractive. He is a good actor though. He is a bean pole barely walking skeleton. How is that attractive? To each his own. She is quaint and pretty. Far from ugly or unbearable. What an exaggeration on your part. This drama though is a little odd with her character morphing into someone else’s though every now and then. I only watched the first episode and was caught off guard by that part.

      • "Looks like a Malay" and "refuse to watch his drama"...That is a very racist friend you have. So narrow minded and racist.

    • I don't find Song Yi attractive, neither do Luo Yunxi or Bai Jing Ting. For both actors she received criticism because her beauty level was not up to par with them. LOL. But I can't find two actors who look unhealthy good-looking. Besides, your reason for a man to be with a woman who is not pretty is quite limited. Lol.

      • Luo Yunxi looks as if any of his female leads could lift him. Before I get labeled as a hater or anti, I'm not. I appreciated his acting in Till The End Of The Moon.

      • Erm… aren’t there a zillion rumours about SY and BJT being together irl? He probably thinks she’s attractive!

      • @Maya Oh, bad wording. Sorry. I was trying to write that I also don't find LYX and BJT attractive.

    • He is tiny with 30kgs and with a giant head and she is the one ugly? Lmfao

You are not bothered by looks! You are bothered that she is out-acting him and taking away the attention from him. Cope.

      • @Iphy

Yes, this!! That's such a perfect comparison. He does look like a bobblehead. You hit the nail on the (bobble) head.

    • Luo Yun Xi good looking? He looks like a drug addict and does not have the look of a leading male lead to me. I’m kinda shallow so I avoid his drama at all costs.
On the other hand Song Yi is very pleasent to look at though as beautiful as many other actresses. I love Ruo Ruo is JOL so I have a soft spot for her.

      • He looks like a bobblehead being so skinny. I have never liked his look and surprised that there are people that find him handsome

Song Yi is cute. I would say she's light years ahead of the male lead in terms of beauty and attractiveness

Rin's comment about people being together due to attractiveness is very shallow and childish

    • are you actually a LYX anti trying to get people to insult him 😂? there's no way someone actually thinks he's "pretty", right? he's delicate but doesn't actually have feminine features. I'm sure if you put Song Yi and him in the same dress and had a vote, Song Yi would still win.

    • @rin
Wondering why they put Chen Yao as second lead. She is pretty with smallish pixie face. Is Song Yi much more popular than Chen Yao and the exotic looking Huang Ri Ying?

Luo Yunxi has very sharp facial features. So it’s not easy to match him on screen. Recalled that Yang Zi was so stressful that she went on a diet while filming with him in Ashes of Love. She even made him eat alot more so he could put on weight.

    • @rin
I only seen Song Yi in one drama. She acted in a historical drama with Wang YiBo. I recall her acting pouty, cute and clingy so I wasn’t very excited about her character. I am sure her acting is fine based on all the positive comments but I couldn’t warm up to her on-screen character.

I just hope she won’t act the same way in this show with Luo Yunxi. Although it still depends very much on the script and direction.

      • He is an OK actor. Good in some scenes, bland in others. It must be hard to find co-stars for him because he looks unhealthy.

    • @Rina Do you think the same when pretty female characters are pairing with ugly/penniless/powerless men? Lmao.

  • Hoping for good writing and directing for LYX’s sake. He’s got the looks and is a natural in front of the camera.

  • I cant take LYX seriously in a drama bcuz he looks fragile as hell. Except for the one with BL bcuz his character was simply weak in the beginning.

    Especially modern drama.

Anyways.. why sometimes i couldnt post the comment, so sad. I've clicked post comment but my comment didnt appear tho.

  • I vote LYX on looks and acting-

I can't tell if his charisma is tricking my eyes because he's so good at acting suave or cunning but also, on the flip of a switch, goes vulnerable and open-hearted, that it's hard to tell that apart from attractive! :)

So yeah, I don't know how I would feel about meeting someone that looks like him in real life, but put him in a costume drama, give him a suffering ML role and I think he's hella attractive!

  • Oh my God this comment section. Sexist and misogynistic (so only beautiful women are really loved, for the others it's either men are after their money or are old maidens!), body-shamers (poor Luo Yunxi!), even racists (what is wrong with Malays, dear lord). I hope you are all like 80 years old and the earth will get rid of you soon.

    • Exactly y thoughts...I actually got depressed reading😶
The woman is pretty and has the quirks to match her role, and LYX is a good and charismatic actor imo. I heard that he has explained a thousand times that he's just built this way since childhood and has no health problems. The comments are just depressive.

  • All these disgusting...racist and sexist comments directed at the actors....lmao....I would love to see the ones saying these things in person to see how wonderful and beautiful they themselves look commenting these things..smh...

Song Yi looks beautiful and is a ok actress so far....luo Yunxi is an awesome actor who even though skinny does he own wireworks, stunts and voice dubbing... plus carry his female leads compared to many actors who physically looks strong but isn't....he may be small but he has great core strength thanks to his years of being professionally trained in Ballet...

His weight is always an issues when he can't do a thing about it because that's genetically and metabolically how his body is...how many fat persons yall ever seen dance ballet professionally?? Hes thin like many other actresses yall praise for not being fat...when in reality their bones are in WW3 with their muscles and skin...yet they are pretty when Luo Yunxi gets body shamed??...

If he was starving himself to look like this I would understand...yet he explained millions times already about the situation so what else yall want him to do?? He's also quite handsome....not because he isn't attractive to yall..doesn't mean he isn't...

Just watch the drama and see if it's yall cup of tea and if not more dramas are available...than stoop this low because they're is nothing else to say.

    • Actually if you watch his earlier dramas from 4 years back,he wasn't so thin and I think he looked way better. Nowadays it's like he's never put back the weight he lost to play Tantai Jin in End of the Moon.

  • Leo Luo and Song Yi age ways very suitable couple and has good chemistry in YXJ. Jealous haters gonna hate no matter what. Some people behaving like there is no slim men in this world! and Song Yi pretty too. Watch your own face in the mirror before body shaming others.
