C-drama Flourished Peony with Yang Zi and Li Xian Gets New Title of In the Name of Blossom for Part 2 Likely Airing in Summer 2025
The recently aired Tang dynasty C-drama Flourished Peony with the Chinese title Guo Se Fang Hua 国色芳华 was announced as merely Part 1 of the full drama. This week the production announced that Part 2 will have a different title in Chinese as Jing Xiu Fang Hua 锦绣芳华 and the English title will be In the Name of Blossom. Reading this title I so want to “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit” conduct an exorcism so that Blossom is permanently removed as an available word from C-drama titles going forward. Anyhoo, FP did solid so while the original plan was to air Part 2 in early 2026 now there is murmurings that Part 2 In the Name of Blossom will drop this summer 2025 so just half a year break between the two parts. Good for Yang Zi and Li Xian as the drama did well with their core domestic audience.
So much Blossoms lol… too many Blossoms since last year.
Is that how they are getting around the 1 year rule? Not good. Regulators are going to be more strict when dramas try to cheat.
It was a good drama. Can’t wait for part 2.
I enjoyed Part 1…looking forward to Part 2.
Cant wait for part 2. It was a good show. Hopefully they’ll comeback with a better story in part 2. Summer is still far away tho.
Blossom Cinematic Universe is expanding
It reminds me of Sailor Moon. “In the name of the moon, I shall punish you!” haha
Awful title. But am hoping 2nd part keeps up the momentum.
FP is the one of the best costume Cdrama I have watched.
Glad for the shorter wait for Part 2. Read somewhere the name change is to circumvent the 1 year rule. Anyhow, I don’t care what they name it as long as it’s good.

HEY!! This drama should have rocked the US- the two leads are phenomenal and their chemistry is off the charts. His patience as he waits for her to realize he loves her is heart-breaking. Xian’s every glance is so amazing, drawing in the audience with the pure yearning. Yang Zi, always amazing in every production, is pure…blossom. The show is about flowers so all the other C-dramas need to change their names. I am going to sit next to my computer on JUly 2nd and hope China excuses the rule of the two-year waiting period- WHAT’S UP WITH THAT, CHINA!??? And flood the US market with trailers for this show and the American audience will go back and watch season 1!
