A new xianxia C-drama has wrapped filming this week and released the first set of official stills. It’s Veil of Shadows produced by Guo Jing Ming and starring many of the same faces that have been in his recent dramas. The leads are Ju Jing Yi, Chen Du Ling, Zeng Shun Xi, and Tian Jia Rui, and it’s reportedly a riff off the classic horror fantasy tale of Painted Skin. Ju Jing Yi got top billing coming into this drama with the surprise hit for her that was In Blossom, but now Chen Du Ling may be positioned stronger than her when this does air likely end of this year thanks to The Glory which is reportedly expected to have a longer tail run thanks to the strong veteran cast and the story line. Whatever happens, catfights makes for buzz and almost any buzz is good buzz these days in C-ent.

Chen Duling is better choice than Ju Jingyi who never get any hit
Both of them is good 😊
You just know ChenDuling's acting gonna far exceed her.
Chen Du Ling acting need to brush up. Her acting very still , not much expression. Can see from her last few drama. Though she is pretty.
Popularity wise song zuer is way more popular than Chen duling right now.
Im really interested in visuals in this drama I dont even care for story at this point. I also cant wait ot watch JuLing scenes! they were so pretty & ship-able in bts vids xD then any of lead guys...
This director should really stick with magazine spreads and photo-ops. He makes visually stunning images, but really lacks substance. All his stuff always look photoshopped to the max lol
So, is this like dual female leads drama?
