Period C-drama The Legend of Rosy Clouds with Li Yi Tong, Zeng Shun Xi, and Deng Wei Confirmed to Start Promotions After Being Shelved for Two Years
There is finally legitimate news on a long on the shelf period C-drama The Legend of Rosy Clouds (云秀行 Yun Xiu Xing) that is likely to air soon. The drama star Li Yi Tong, Zeng Shun Xi, Deng Wei, Wang Yi Lun, Dai Lu Wa, and Tian Jia Rui, all familiar names and faces but this drama was filmed over two years ago and hasn’t had a peep about it since for whatever reason. Each of the leads have had dramas filmed after they filmed this drama air and it’s been one of those strange silences because no one on the cast has been cancelled. This week comes word that iQiyi will be officially promoting the drama on September 24th, which means releasing stills and a trailer, and hopefully also announcing an airing date. Good or bad, just drop this sucker so everyone can move on lol.
It was postponed indefinitely due to copyright rights. Production filmed this drama two years ago without permission. Glad they finally got the green light to air it.
Oh…interesting backstory. I personally dislike anyone stealing others IP. They are too arrogant to even film before seeking permission and paying for rights. Happy to know all is settled. I really need a good drama with disappointing The Journey of Legend..
The drama wasn’t allowed to air due to regulations regarding adapting work from other countries (in this case Japan). That regulation was recently lifted so now we can actually get to see this one. Hallelujah. 🙌🏻
I don’t think the drama would live up to the anime version.

Big fan of Li Yitong, Deng Wei, and Dai Luwa. I really haven’t cared for the ML in anything though. I hope it’s good, but most dramas lately have been forgettable so we’ll see.
I went back to rewatch Go Ahead… rather sad there is no nice new dramas.
On the one hand, I loved the anime, Saiunkoku Monogatari, and am excited to see a cdrama live action adaptation. On the other hand, I don’t have much trust in a production that didn’t clear copyright before filming and possibly wasting the staff and actors’ time and hard work.
Ouhhh. So it’s adapted from this anime. This anime is truly quite popular among shoujo lovers. Good thing they already solved the issue.
Ive been waiting for this one! It has so many of people I like watching and costumes also looks gorgeous. I hope script wont be so bad I dont want to drop it anymore…
