Action Actor Lee Jung Jae Gets Mixed Up with Hard Hitting Reporter Lim Ji Yeon in First Poster and Teasers for tvN Drama Nice to Not Meet You
So I love this drama’s English title lol, tvN drama Nice to Not Meet You is starting promos off right with me on that alone. The Korean title is Annoying Love or Petty Love but I love when tvN does punny English titles right with creativity and edge like here. The drama stars Lee Jung Jae and Lim Ji Yeon in the total opposites and sparks fly set up, with him being a popular action actor playing cops his whole career who dreams of becoming a serious actor while she’s a politics beat journalist demoted to the entertainment pages. Their 17-year real life age gap has netizens upset when the drama was announced but whatevers to me she’s already 35 and not some ingenue so just watch the drama and see if chemistry and character interactions work for you. I like the loud physical comedy seen in the previews, let these two lean into their high energy side.

The trailer is interesting, but they look like uncle and niece. I do not want to watch them romance.
They used de-aging tech on Lee Jung Jae because he looked way older than that when he was in Singapore last week.
Would love to see Kim Ji Hoon with Lim Ji Yeon, that would be a great couple!
I don’t like that Seo Ji-hye is relegated to second lead roles again.
I didn’t even know SJH was in this–I almost forgot about her. I wonder why this happens to her though. She’s beautiful with decent acting skills (at least, better than many other actresses out there who get lead roles). Maybe her agency isn’t putting her out there for better scripts. Could be also that she lacks that “star power” to give her lead roles. I miss seeing her on my screen and I hope she gets back to lead actress status.
All the actresses who transferred to Culture Depot/Ieum Hashtag/whatever-it’s-called-now eventually got dungeon-ed (SJH, Kim So Hyun, Seolhyun, etc.). Jung So Min is the only one who seems to have escaped the curse lol.
I really thought SJH would be on her way to top leading lady status after CLOY, but alas…
