First Look at Tan Song Yun and Hou Ming Hao Finding Romance and Adventure in Xianxia C-drama The Unclouded Soul
There are so many C-dramas airing right now to kick off October 2025 it’s more than enough variety for viewers to check out so not as much need to look forward to upcoming ones. But the first promos are decently pretty for xianxia C-drama The Unclouded Soul with Tan Song Yun and Hou Ming Hao it’s worth sharing. I think this is Tan Song Yun’s first xianxia foray, she has plenty of period dramas under her belt but its either investigative ones or court/home politics themed, whereas Hou Ming Hao looks like he wandered over here from the sets of Fangs of Fortune and Love in the Clouds is how much he looks basically the same in the xianxia demon role. I love the warmth between the leads and how she’s adorably looking back at him in the drama poster above but I can’t figure out why they are riding a weird glowy log creature shaped like a spiny fish haha. This should be an early to mid 2026 release on iQiyi.
Ah him. The plastic doll. I can’t watch him because of all the surgery. I rather like her, though more in modern drama but this time unfortunately no.

He is getting popular….I do like Tan Song Yun…but I hope script is good. And production is well done.
He must have shown his plastic surgeon a photo of Michael Jackson when he was asked who he wanted to look like lol. His face is so unnatural it’s distracting .
Wait, which version of Michael Jackson did he go for? There were… quite a few updates.

Im very hopeful of this since I heard they were cast as leads and seeing the trailer Im not disappointed xD The chemistry and lovely cliche romance story is just my cup of tea I cant wait!
Ive to add I love all those magical creatures or spirits whatever! its so cuteeee and creative. The thing they fly on, that looks like a fish I saw someone call that a roasted potato lmao XD
TSY’s visuals are not for Xianxia though.
Honestly, his face is giving more villain character than main lead.
Didn’t have much interest in this,thoughtit was gonna be toollighthearted and sweet for my taste. But after seeing the trailer, this looks interesting.
HMH is an amazing actor.
Is he good looking? Yes. He has a unique beauty.
How much of it is through some additional work? No idea.
But if you watch him in different roles and hold your judgement until after, you’ll see, that he can act.
Episode 13 of Love in the Clouds? Chef’s kiss. Eyes, facial micro expressions, body language. All the (little) details count. And he delivered!
