Tencent to Premiere War and Politics C-drama Fight for Love with Song Qian and Ding Yu Xi on October 30th
So this will be the last C-drama to drop in this clown car packed month of October 2025. Those lamenting no C-dramas to watch can’t complain about this month, this has to be something for someone. Tencent has decided to drop one more drama to this packed itinerary premiering Fight for Love with Song Qian (Victoria Song) and Ding Yu Xi this week on October 30th. Unless someone tells me this drama is unexpectedly awesome it’s a pass for me. Ding Yu Xi is back to looking not attractive with whatever look they put on him after being quite attractive for once in Love Game in Eastern Fantasy late last year, he’s one of those actors that’s really hit or miss visually for me. I put Song Qian in the squarely bad actress category, maybe not as awful as Angelababy, Ju Jing Yi, or Chen Yu Qi, but I can always “see” her acting like her brain is thinking “this is how to act this emotion” right in front of me. Very distracting. Anyways, this drama looks right up the alley of female general empowerment and family honor conflict and protecting the kingdom patriotism that we saw recently with Legend of the Female General.

Ding Yuxi is not a bad actor and although some of his dramas are hit or miss, he’s earned enough credit to check out some of his works. I don’t know Victoria Song tho, i haven’t enjoyed anything with her in it and i agree with Koala here that her does seem off sometimes.
I’d like to check this out and maybe i’ll do but the story doesn’t seem intriguing enough for me and that’s what i’m worried about.
She looks a lot older than him – is she really older or does he just look young?

Not really a fan of her acting. I’ve dropped most of her dramas for that exact reason. Her acting just screams, “I’m acting.”
Same. She doesn’t really have much acting skills and I don’t think she fits the FL character.

That’s my problem with her acting as well, and the reason I’ve never watched any of her dramas past the first few episodes. As much as I love Ding Yu Xi, I’m gonna have to sit this one out.
As the one who already watched 5 first ep, I can say, Victoria acting really stuck. TBH I thought Victoria would improve more compare the 1st time I watched her drama (wth Zhou Mi)many years ago. If you asked me actresses with huge followers but worst acting, Victoria did list as second in my list after Angelababy (no1). Perhaps after many years, Victoria might not the 2nd worst but as you guys said, her acting really feel so off. Agreed with @kristina, she just ‘Acting’
